What is the airsoft sniper rifle with the best range?

December 28th, 2009 by eranio

Be realistic. I don’t mean an 800 FPS gun (but maybe…), or anything above, I dunno, 1000 USD. I don’t care if it is gas/spring/AEG.

From your personal experience, and/or cited websites, which sniper rifle has the best range and accuracy at that range?

Should people who profit from the manufacture and sales of “military” weapons feel “guilty” about…

December 27th, 2009 by eranio

…all the people who are killed by them? And inversely, should the people "saved" from death by the presence of "military" weapons feel "grateful" for it?

Why does every rifle used in a crime become a sniper rifle?

December 27th, 2009 by eranio

Even if you put a scope on a rifle, it doesn’t necessiaraly make it a sniper rifle, and most of the time they don’t even have scopes!
Like when Tyler Dumstorf blasted the cops, the media suddanly transformed his Garand into a "sniper rifle", and it’s about the ame for every other case!
Do they think it sounds scarie or something?

What is the best branch of the military?

December 26th, 2009 by eranio

My fiance is 21 and has his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. He isn’t sure what he wants to do for a career but is drawn to the Army’s commissioned officer program. His mom is concerned that the Army is too dangerous to go into, but he enjoys camping, rock climbing, and firearms training and thinks he’ll get to do this most in the Army. He is interested in military intelligence, but dreams of being a professional rock climber. Any suggestions from those who have insight on multiple branches of the US military?

What kind of air soft sniper rifle should I buy?

December 26th, 2009 by eranio

I am looking to buy an airsoft sniper rifle that is less than or equal to 150 dollars. It needs to be of reasonably good quality, and no less than 450 fps. Bolt action/spring loaded would be nice, but gas can work too. Please let me know of a good sniper you think I should buy.

What happens to your weapons after discharge from military?

December 26th, 2009 by eranio

Hey everyone, I was just wondering what happens to an individuals’ weapon after their discharge. I’m sure there are servicemen on here who can shed some light on the question. I suspect they’re cleaned/refurbished and reissued, but I really don’t know. I’ve heard that the upper receiver and trigger assembly of an M16 can be changed for that of an AR15, but am not sure if the military allows this. If possible, does anyone know if different weapons are handled differently after the discharge of the user? Thanks a bunch

December 25th, 2009 by eranio

owned any while I had children in the home. My question is: wouild I be better advised to purchase a revolver or a semi- automatic weapon. I understand that the revolver is more reliable and six bullets is adequate for protection but others differ. I would appreciate knowledgable advise about recommended : caliber, price, size and weight, make model etc.

did you know that the phrase “to keep and bear arms” referred to serving in the military when it was written?

December 25th, 2009 by eranio

Prior to and through the Eighteenth Century, predominate usage of the expression "bear arms" exclusively referred to the profession of military service, as opposed to the use of firearms by civilians[3][4][5].

"In late-eighteenth-century parlance, bearing arms was a term of art with an obvious military and legal connotation. . . . As a review of the Library of Congress’s data base of congressional proceedings in the revolutionary and early national periods reveals, the thirty uses of ‘bear arms’ and ‘bearing arms’ in bills, statutes, and debates of the Continental, Confederation, and United States’ Congresses between 1774 and 1821 invariably occur in a context exclusively focused on the army or the militia.[3]"

As an example, the expression ‘bear arms’ is contained in the United States Declaration of Independence in the sense of ‘military service’ on a warship, as part of an indictment of the King of Great Britain for conscripting Colonial sailors to serve on British warships.
im not saying that people in the military can have guns but that the term right to bear arms literally meant to have and serve in an army not have your own gun to shoot who you please
