Does something like that even exist? This is for a research paper, and I would imagine that the department of defense keeps an inventory of the weapons, ships and planes deployed around the world. I can’t seem to find it though.

I’m female, and want to join the branch of military that will let me be armed. Which one…?

I will choose a construction trade, or transportation trade. I prefer to join a branch of the military which will allow me to carry a firearm on overseas tours, even though I might not necessarily be in a combat area. I am also female.
Does any branch of the military arm non-combat personnel on overseas tours?

What’s the difference between a bolt action and assault rifle?

I’m playing Call of Duty 3, and there are two achievements that deal with rifles.
One tells me to only use bolt action rifles, and the other says to use assault rifles.
I have saved the game right now, and I have a scoped Lee-Enfield and some German rifle. I used the same sort of weaponary, and I didn’t get the achievement.
So what is the difference between those two rifle types?
