How do I find out how much my gun is worth?

I have an old 7mm mauser that I was looking to sell. I took it to a local gunsmith to see if he could give me some more information on it, and he told me it was probably worth alot more than I had previously thought. He said that it was an old military issue rifle dating somewhere between 35-50 years old. He also said that all the serial numbers matched, so everything was original. I have no idea how to go about finding someone who can help me figure out what it’s worth.

What is a high quality airsoft sniper rifle for under $80? ?

I’m looking for a spring airsoft sniper rifle that shoots hard and accurate up to a good distance. I don’t have a lot of money to spend and any packages that include a decent scope with it for under is primarily what I’m looking for. Something that doesn’t need any extra work and will be a solid gun for a long time. I don’t want a weak gun, strong but accurate. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

He’s an high school kid and he accidently finds this secret military weapon that instantly destroys the person. He kills his father and others and the military tries to find him. This girl begins to like him and he regrets killing those people. She draws stars on his forhead with makeup…I think. And its a pretty old movie. That’s all I remember. Any guess would be appreciated.

What position in the Military is it?

I was wondering what a couple military positions are that i have seen in movies and games that i really liked but i dont know what they are. In Transformers some airplane type thing starts shooting at the scorpion robot in the desert. What is the name of the position or job of who ever is shooting the guns? Also in Call of duty 4 you are in a plane and you have too should at guys that are all lit up. What is the name of that position or what ever job the person is doing to make it shoot?

If a military-trained sniper kills a civilian, should he be held to a higher stance then say the average Joe?

Snipers are trained killers…..
I based my question on the David Munis’case. Munis shot his 40-year-old wife, Robin, from outside the restaurant-bar in Cheyenne where she was singing with a band on July 14.
She was killed by a single rifle bullet that shattered a plate glass door before striking her in the head.

I respect everyone’s opinions however if he was still alive (coward) I think he should receive the max. He was a trained killer of the United States, that was trained to protect our country not to use use his talents and skills to kill his wife. For him to abuse the skills he was taught is a slap in the face to the military itself. He should be held to a higher standard and I’m shock by anyone who thinks differently. He was not the average shooter, he an employee our government and again a skilled killer…
He was an employee of our government and part of an elite branch of our military/..

This has just been on my mind lately cause I’m planning on joining the U.S Marine Corps, And i have a very great shot, whether it’s a rubber band or a M16A2 rifle. And I’d be really disappointed if i can’t shoot it with my left hand on the trigger.

What is the best grouping you can get on a target when fiting an assault rifle?

I’m sure most of us have seen the picture of, I think it was a british soldier, whose Kevlar helmet stopped 3 AK 47 rounds in Iraq. I tried telling this to a guy a work but he wouldn’t believe me…even thought there is a picture on the internet to prove it. In his own words he says that"it violates the laws of physics" to get a grouping of about 3 bullets in about a 10 inch square area or so..maybe a bit more. To me it doesn’t seem so far fetcher..but i have never been in the military. It was an AK that fired the rounds, but he’s is trying to tell me that NO machine gun of any type can get such a close grounping..even on 3 round burst. So..I want some solid facts to take back to work and prove him wrong. Some links or real data would be great. Thanks.

I read a book from steven hunter " black light" or one the the bob leee swagger novels. bob lee told i think it was russ the diffrence between marine snipers and army snipers. one point was that army snipers uses bipods while marine snipers dont ( except of course for the .50 BMG). is there any truth to it?
