I live in Michigan below the rifle line which means we have to use shotgun. We are planning a hunting trip in Wisconsin where rifles are allowed. I was thinking about using my AR-15 with a scope and a 5 round hunting clip I bought. Is .223 strong enough to kill deer? Have anyone used it with success? I figure if the military uses it against people it should probably be good enought to get deer too, or is this logic flawed? Bonus for personal expierence.
I know there are other better rounds to use, but I dont want to buy another rifle to go hunting in rifle country once every couple years.

I want to know,by FACTA,who has the most powerful military in the world?
I know many nations could destroy the world 10 times over,but lets just say for arguments sake,a one on one battle for supremacy,who would win?
And what weapon or weapons would make the difference if needed to be used to an advantage?

I would prefer someone who has used the weapon in real life, but people in the army who just know about it, or even a really good link to a website would be fine.

The firearm has a four digit serial number. Has a shoulder holster but I doubt it’s original with the Gun, but still may be military issue. A friend has one and is interested in selling it.

i have a bolt action l96 sniper rifle and it was raining a bit today and i was outside shooting and the lube on the silver part of the bolt thing was all soapy like when i was finished so how can i clean the old lube off and re-apply the new lube? thanks in advance

the US Poverty Level…
NO, the Military DOES NOT give them everything…

The only thing the Military gives anyone (Single) is 3 Hots & a Cot, Medical, Rifle and Webgear, Bullets…MOS Training…

They MUST pay for everything else right from their First Issue
of Military Clothing in Basic/Boot Camp…plus any Hygiene
products that they might need…

When they get Married…The money that was going to the MessHall to feed him..is then given to him and his Family…
He/She must now pay to eat in a Messhall…
(Just shifted money from one place to another…)

As for Family MEDICAL…well they have what is called
Tri Care that the Military person has to pay for…
Most civilians would be screaming if they had to pay
the Co Pays that are required on this Medical Plan…
which covers next to nothing…

Most reasons we end up needing health care are preventable.
Too fat and out of shape, leads to high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, heart disease, etc.
Wouldn’t it be better to help people get exercise and eat better foods?
AIDS sickens (and kills) lots of people. Needles for junkies, or drug rehab programs; lot’s of subsidized rubbers if you can’t afford them. End this culture of sex and promiscuity, AIDS goes way down.
Car accidents injure (and kill) a lot of people. Crack down on drunk and drugged driving, aggressive driving, no seat belts. Less accidents is a good thing.
Gun violence. End the gun culture. Too much access to cheap firearms of a military style. Only sporting arms, all registered, all secured. With rights comes RESPONSIBILITY.
Smoking sickens and kills many people. While you maybe shouldn’t ban cigarettes, they are too cheap and too advertised. Let smokers pay for their own health care.
Bottom line, much of the money spent on healthcare is from PREVENTABLE causes.
Why not take care of these problems at the root cause? That would be bad news for the health care industry.

I’m going to play the halo 3 beta thats this Wednesday, and I’ve seen a lot of videos with the assault rifle. Since it will be the average respawn weapon, I probably should know more about it. My question, is to ask any kind of tips for using the new assault rifle: how to aim, use bullets wisely, etc. Oh, by the way, I could use some beta friends. all mine have the original xbox. my gamertag is TheGodOfWar91. I have heard that full-auto fire is no longer standard issued in the military; and that they now offer only semi and burst mode. Is this true? I have also heard that on special occasions some M16s are modded to have the auto function for those high ranked or special op troops.

I wonder why a assault rifle such as the m-16A4 can’t have all 3 mode of fire instead of excluding one or the other. Answers are appreciated.

I am 25, I graduated from a very good college. I have never done drugs, and don’t drink. I am very clean cut and because I run a lot I have very low body fat and am not muscular. I am about 5’6" and less than 160 pounds soaking wet.

I work in the retail business and run my family’s stores. I have done this since I was 18. It never fails that people think they can pick on me. Adults always talk to me like I am stupid and try to take advantage of me. They never believe that I am not in high school or that I own the own business.
When I have to be assertive at work or in my life people think they can physically intimidate me. I have had guys literally square off to me and try to fight me.

The worst part is that due to my business I handle a TON of cash and am allowed to be armed by the police. I am always carrying a gun and have done a ton of firearms training (with military and law enforcement) as well as a bit of martial arts training. I DO NOT want to get into a fistfight with people because they are going to get hurt very bad.

Should I grow a beard?
