Airsoft Sniper Rifles? Which One do I get?

June 25th, 2010 by eranio

Hey guys I’m kind of in a little debate on which sniper I should get. A few days ago I was really interested in the Matrix TSD M700 but now I’m leaning more toward the JG BAR 10 from Evike with the scope and bipod package.

I like the BAR 10 because I like that it’s a TM clone, easily upgradable, and like the air brake mod that costs nothing (unless I screw it up that is..lol). I would also like to know if I can take the front sight off of the BAR and how to. So is the BAR 10 a good gun?

And what type of bb’s should I get Matrix or airsoft elite. And .25s or .28s?

Which one of the 2 would you pick?

So please answer thouroughly with good detail.
Thanxs. :)

The BAR hands down. It is halfway decent stock. And is compatible with quality upgrade parts. You can build this rifle far past the TSD and be very effective on the field.

For BB’s I would personally get the Super Grand Master .29g bb’s They are widely accepted as one of the best sniper grade ammo you can buy.

I would get the M700. With .28 bbs.
I use to own the M700 and got great use of it.
Has a great velocity. And is very reliable. I reccomend extra magazines
I would not get a JG.
I dont really trust Jing Gong.
I have bought two jing gongs and they have not lasted me for a long time.
Ofcourse it depends how you are going to use your sniper
Will you get alot of use out of it. Or will you just use it a couple times just to play around with it…
    I would go with the M700 though…

TSD has some nice quality rifles, but I haven’t heard much about their M700. I’d go with the BAR-10 due to the cost, durability, quality, and ability to upgrade. Just be aware that the air brake mod will damage your gun over time.

AE Black .28′s. Matrix are considered high quality, but can’t compare. In the links below .20′s are used in the tests, but it should give some good information about the quality of AE and Matrix BB’s.
