Call of Duty 4, Sniper rifles with ACOG scopes???

February 15th, 2010 by eranio

Why would someone want to use an ACOG scope with a sniper rifle on COD4? It makes the shot unlevel and you can’t hold your breath. So whats the deal?

ACOG on the M4(?) (i think thats what it is :P the starting sniper) is probly y favourite sniper class. it quite accurate (more then you’d think) and it almost always a 1 shot kill.

what makes it better is that is not as good at long range but if someones closer its like a highly over-powered assualt rifle. thats my guess :)

some people like it for short range. you really just get lucky with those though.

It’s supposed to make it easier to shoot, by making your shots steadier. But, because of this, you lose a little range. It can be useful, but I don’t like it.

i think it is because they have a better idea of objects and targets which are nearer to you…myself…i stay away from it on all guns as it is a death wish….

To be honest there isn’t really any deal, just stick with the original Sniper scope. Unless your a very acurate player who is looking for slightly close range shots.

On smaller maps or maps with few good sniping spots you can put an acog on a sniper, preferably a semi auto to get kills easier from medium-short ranges. Its hard to use at first, but once you get good, you can rack up the kills. Trust me, I just got like 37 kills and 9 deaths by doing this on Wetwork about 30 minutes ago.
