Can an ex-marine with special ops and sniper experience, own grenades and other military issued firearms?

Need to know for legal reasons, my niece’s boyfriend is a wacko who served in Afghanistan, who has beat her, poured gas on her, aimed a military issued sniper rifle at her, and constantly threatens to blow up the house she lives in. So, is the weapons illegal, and if so, who do I contact when I do not know his last name. BTW, I have called 911 myself and local law enforcement doesn’t have the power to do anything just going by someone’s word. And, doubt seriously she will talk against him.
Who exactly would I call or contact about this? She is scared and confused, and I believe that she is scared to let someone know, but apparently the sheriff’s dept. already knows something because they mentioned it to me. They said that they cannot go by hearsay, with that said I understand. Isn’t there another source to contact?

My answer to the ex-marine is:
"Thank you for serving your country well, but no, you can’t own gernades, but you can own military weapons with a permit, most ex-military do ownsome kind of weapon"
Insofar as your neice is concerned, it is her choice and her problem. It is not always the man, it is sometimes the woman who is the real trouble.
If you are for real about it, go to the Attorney General’s officer and swear under penality of perjury that this ex-marine own illegal stuff for a fact, but if you are wrong you will end up in prison!

im sure he is legal to own a firearm, long as he isnt a felon. unless you get some hardcore evidence agaisnt him.. your word is just your word..she would have to go along with it. go down and talk to the county sheriffs dept. you might get somewhere there…no-one wants to speak up.. maybe they will keep an eye on the house..making it a hot spot they patrol more. hope it helps

No you can’t own such explosives like grenades or full automatics unless you can secure a federal license. Do you want to die or go to prison for murder (2nd degree if it isn’t premeditated)? Can you afford to ruin your life? The only thing you can do is talk that girl into getting a restraining order against the boyfriend in court. If she won’t then there isn’t much you can do legally.
Do you know why police hate to enter into a domestic fight? In the intervention, they could be shot not only by the attacker but also the victem. The police may risk their life and the victem may refuse to press charges. Even if they get the victem away (usually a woman) many return to the violence.

Abso-friggin-lutely NOT. If he does have grenades, he is in violation of the UCMJ as well as state and federal laws, and the National Firearms Act.
Do an internet search for your nearest branch of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF). Im sure they’d love to talk to him.

She could get out! there are many groups that would help her in this if she really wants to leave! But that will not fix the problem here. I am ex military myself and coming back home after wartime for some is hard the flashbacks, nothing feels the same and at times feels like the whole world is falling apart, the hate can build up inside of you so bad I think you get the point but with that said understand he is a vet. now and postmatic stress disorder is what you are dealing with most likely. Go talk to a close Recruiters office about this matter they should be able to get him the help that is needed or tell you where to go. this is a growing problem in our men coming back from war the stress that is put on us our family at war time is hard. If you do not get the answers you need from the recruiters office email me and I will try to dig out some old Gov. phone numbers to call for vets dealing with P.S.D. If you need help dealing with recruiters or anything email or have them email me Let me know how it goes
