Can you ever imagine not being able to Hunt, Shoot, or being able to Protect and Defend yourself or others?

Because some Leader of the Executive Branch signed an Executive Order to ban all Firearms except fo the ones that the Police, and the Military use by effectively doing away with the 2nd Amendment by issuing an Executive Order.*

They can do what they want. I’ll exercise my natural right to defend myself, my family, my loved ones, and any innocent bystanders to the best of my ability, my equipment, and my wisdom.

I may be punished briefly for this arguably defiant act, but at least I will be able to live with myself knowing that I did everything in my power to save that mother and her child, or my best friend, or the random junky who, while mixed up, still didn’t deserve to be beaten to death in an alleyway.

So yes, they can legislate everything they want. All they’re going to do however, is make my good intentions illegal. I can live with that. I can’t live with the surrendering of my responsibility to protect myself and others.

This doesn’t mean we stand by idly. Contact your local representatives, join and donate to the NRA (or a more preferred rights organization of your choice) and use every method of knowing and protecting your rights to the best of your ability. After exhausting these options, then, and ONLY then, do I believe one should exercise civil disobedience (or perhaps less than civil disobedience).

The power to do so does not exist.

Why would I want to hunt or shoot myself or even you

Yes I can imagine it and it sounds like a wonderful place to live.

It would take a alought of political power to do so. And besides the public uproar would hopfully be enough to provent this.

In the current political environment, I imagine it every day. Don’t like it one bit either.

When you get pissed off you need to grab your rifle and run outside. If you’re the only one there it’s not quite time yet. If that happens you’ll find that you won’t be alone… not this time.

you can defend yourself without firearms

Every now and then they threaten us of some law and never get executed. I personally do not believe it is possible. The only thing they could do is enforce and tighten firearm permits.

Executive Orders only apply to the functions of the executive branch such as the fbi secret service dept of education etc. Its like your boss declaring coffee breaks are now 10 minutes instead of 15. The POTUS cant just change the constitution, or any law by Executive Order, only the legislative branch and, to a lesser extent, the Judicial branch, can change the law . The title is President not King

They can not take away our right to keep and bear arms.
It is written in our Constitution that it is an inalienable right, which means NOBODY can take it away.
ANY order or law,no matter who wrote it,signed it, or pulled it out of their a$$.
Any order to remove guns from law abiding people is an unlawful order in its self.
I for one will not obey any such unlawful order.

The prior Speaker of the House–who’s name shall remain too infamous to repeat–is on record as saying, If she had the power to ban firearms at once? She’d do it.

Only our Constitution and the Will of the People deny the current batch of elected and appointed government wonks the opportunity. A sufficient and exploitable tragedy may just encourage them to do so. Arizona was not enough. Achieving only a half -baked attempt to ban so called HiCap magazines.

But, the gears do slowly wind away at our rights. Via the BATF. Which is now, or already has, considering banning importation of "non-sport" shotguns. As defined, of course, by them alone.

An Executive Order of such magnitude would be a follow up of an Executive Order declaring both a National Emergency and Martial Law. Riots, or rebellion, like witnessed in Egypt and Lybia could trip off such EO’s.

I would not doubt one bit our current batch is purposely driving this Nation into just such a scenario. Much as Ike’s CIA instigated the riots that put the Shah in power back in 1953. Leading to 25 years of Iran being enslaved to a increasingly cruel monarchy. That WE setup and sponsored. Which is part and parcel of why Iran is now our enemy. So, ask yourself. Why the wild need/disregard for out of control spending? Why 2 wars and an ongoing Balkan occupation keep our military sucked away? Where did that money go? Is it tied to the Mid East riots and disruption? Causing oil to go up and fuel/food costs to jump here? Much is all tied together and we are purposely kept from connecting the dots.

that is unconsitutional, which is therefore illegal and the law is invalid.

also that may send the nation into a 2nd civil war, and everyone knows that just california alone has more gun owners than combat duty national guardsmen in the nation. we gun owners out number the police, military, and national guard. so if they decided to violate the law and enforce an illegal law, what exactly do they intend to do? i believe we out number them 10 to 1. and there will be considerable servicemen and LEOs that who will not follow hte order to enforce an illegal law. so the government would be at an disadvantage trying to enforce that kind of law should the majority of gun owners resist or decide on civil disobedience and ignore the law.

I think that’s already happening in Communist China. U.K, Canada and Australia is almost there too….. :o (

Whatever, I could only imagine this after I am in my grave. For me, this would be an in-grave image.

Sounds pretty horrible.I own 3 .22LR rifles and a .38 special, and i couldn’t imagine not being able to own them. They have saved my animals more than once, and the .38 is a great way to intimidate or eliminate a violent type.

Some leader did not do that, though some may want to. :)

It would suck to not be able to legally use my tools and supplies. What would I do with this cabinet full of ammo?

There would be a Response unlike any one could ever plan ahead for. Our country would cease to exist as it now does. It would be open season on any and all of authority who would support or attempt to uphold such a flagrant disregard of our personal rights. When guns are outlawed only outlaws will own guns. there is a mention of your question in a flier passed around a few yrs ago. Stating that if that were to be a consideration on a agenda, more so than what they are attempting too do so now, that we the people would cease to pay any state or local tax of any kind, ever. Have a nice day.
