March 11th, 2010 by eranio

i was charged with theft of firearm and buglary 2 . These two crimes happened at the same time and i was 15 years old. I got a differed disposition on the both of them. I am planing on going to college after i’m done with highschool, and planing on joining army reserve while im attending college. I was just wondering if my juvenile record will affect my chances of being accepted to the military. Ps. i haven’t got in trouble since ive been arrested, and i am 17 now.

If they were both non-violent crimes, which they seem to be, then maybe. You’d have to talk to a recruiter to find out what the current rules are about it.
