It can be done, Mostly would depend on your Dominate eye. You should be sighting with your Dominate eye, no matter which way you are shooting.
Most right handed people are right eye dominate but not all.
What ever is most comfortable for you, and actually works.
I am left eye dominate and right handed, I worked hard at finding a comfortable way to sight.
After lots of practice, I learned to shoot left handed as well as I could right handed and more comfortably.
    Do what works.

You can, but it isn’t the best thing to do. In the military, you will get some abuse for doing it. Learn to use your off eye to shoot, you’ll be better off in the long run.

    BTW, it’s through, not threw.

Shoot right handed but look through the sight with your left eye? No you cannot get a proper sight picture that way. It’s a bit of a pain for irons to use your non dominent eye but it is doable. For any non magnified optic like the eotech though it doesn’t matter, u shoot with both eyes open. You can train yourself to keep both eyes open when working with the acog also

Impossible to do. You can’t manipulate your left eye behind the sight while shooting left handed. If you are left eye dominate you will shoot left handed.
