the new American trash series, the Transformers have sissy girl legs and no guns! WHY?! I can’t figure it out, why wouldn’t 2 factions of military robots not have guns?!
why do American cartoons have to be made for puss ies? no guns, no death, no mild profanity, no intense action.
this is why the Japanese own animation they got everything there.

As far as i can tell there are many answers to this question but there are a few that completely confuse me. The first is to keep our government in check, I don’t understand how even a large population armed to the teeth is supposed to fight a government that has enough nukes to blow up the entire planet. Second is self protection, we have all heard about the horrible crimes committed every day yet the stories of people successfully protecting themselves with firearms are few and far between. Another reason i have heard deals with protecting our country from foreign invasion, I don’t think the redcoats are coming back any time soon. Now don’t get all pissy with me if you are pro-gun because I don’t want to take them away from you I just don’t see the reason for so many guns in this country. I can see if you are a businessman transporting large amounts of money or if you are a hunter and want to own a hunting rifle or shot gun or military and police and you want a personal firearm to take to the range, but why should anyone that wants an assault rifle or powerful concealable handgun be able to get one especially if there is no need for them to own it other than just to have a collection.
I was being sarcastic with the nuke thing I guess i meant the most powerful military in the world which could easily control imports and exports, air space, etc.. As far as protection from foriegn invasion I don’t think any country would be foolish enough to try an actual all out invasion. I think a war of that magnitute would probobly involve the U.S. against another nuclear nation and an armed population wouldn’t matter in that case my point about that is that the days of Napoleon and the Redcoats are over I think the framers of the constitution realized the need for an armed militia but if they new that we would someday be this powerful they would have rethought the need for a completely armed population for protection.
I don’t agree with the notion that if a thief was going to break into a house he wouldn’t rob a gun owners house stolen guns are very easily sold for quick cash making a gun owners house even more tempting.
I like the argument about liveing in a rural area and owning a gun for protection that’s a very good reasonable point. Now for the gun owner that has a gun for protection when the police are minutes away (large population city setting) I don’t quite agree with, because if you are a responsible gun owner that has a gun locked away in a safe place how would you get to that gun at a moments notice especialy if your house is broken into unexpectedly.
People that successfully protect themselves with a gun wouldn’t be on the news??? Have you seen the news lately??? I think the news would eat a story like that up.

Does holding a gun make you more qualified?
That is why there are advisors!!!

These illegal crossings are bringing this country to its knees.
I think a wide patch of land should be cleared between the US and Mexico, with a fence on both sides. Then military gun ships could patrol that area between the fences, and shoot any person seen in there, no questions asked.

Or demand workers to carry a licensed weapon?
I know some truck drivers that secretly carry a licensed gun with them when they travel all over. Do trucking companies allow drivers to carry a licensed weapon?

i’ve been thinking bout joining up with the IDF. I was thinking of a job that would be low risk. yet i still have this feeling i might be good with a gun. infantry seems high risk of death. are snipers any sort of exception?

would we have naturally developed into socialism? If you look at American history, from around the 1870s until the 1920s with the First Red Scare, there was a large socialist worker’s movement. In 1919, all the workers of Seattle simply stopped working in order to protest the conditions. In a truly free and capitalistic society, the government wouldn’t have sent troops in to gun down strikers, and the businesses would have had to eventually cave into the demands of the workers. So, if America was truly capitalist, and not run by big business, would we be socialist now?

Ok some guy is in the military and his partner is killed during a mission.
now he tries to kill the mayor(i think he does) with a sniper and then he’s being chased by the police… now he has to use his military skills to survive a gun shot wound he got during running away from the cops.
He then finds a partner to snipe with him. (I don’t know the rest)

I have a neighbour who lives alone and drives trucks. He also like to dress up like a soldier and carry riffles and hand guns around our estate though he is not in the TA or the military, just a local fake gun club like paintball. It is a little scary as we live next to Hungerford (hungerford massacre) to see this slightly odd chap dressed up with fake guns (though they shoot ballbearings). Should I call the Police? Or is it perfectly legal to carry fake guns in military like clothing outside of a club…please advise

I’m a pretty straight forward person, i can deal with mental problems easily, i can handle stressful situations, i can be in command if needed, however i can’t swim well, I’m pretty fit, just being in water isn’t my strong point, i’m not bad with a gun, I’m male, and im straight.
I’d also like to add that being in something like a firefight doesn’t scare me, it commonly encourages me to take command, and control the situation…

b/c he had a 21 gun salute or whatever it’s called and most of the family each received a shell casing.
Yea, it wasn’t 21 shots, it was like 3 or 4 or maybe 5.

Just wondering if my gun rights are restored after im done serving with the marines. Will the felony take my right to posses a firearm away again? how does it work? Any help is welcome. Thanks!

My son is a senior in college and is involved in the Air force ROTC Program. He unfortunately picked up a bad habit from his military training: gun collecting. My husband and I are both very anti-gun and never allowed him to watch violent movies or play violent games. I would like to tell to stop, but since he is an adult and does not live in my house, I’m not sure if i can do so and expect him to obey. I can’t tell him to stop on the grounds that I pay for school, since the Air force pays. Can I tell him to stop? Is there any reason he is doing this?

It used to be that 7.62 x 39 was cheaper than .223 is that still true! also can I safely use 5.56mm NATO in a mini 14 I know that a .223 and 5.56mm NATO are the very similar but still different, and that 5.56mm NATO is military rated ammo and .223 Remington is civilian.
So Is the gun very reliable?
