military guns Archives
Almost anyone can get a gun these days. I think the only people that should be carrying guns are people licensed to have them such as police officers and men and woman of the military, some people use them for protection, but i think that law should change also because we can come up with a better solution to protect ourselves. Putting a gun in anyone hands is bound for another massacre, and it will happen again if america doesn’t do anything about it. What do you think?
According to Jeremy Scahill, of the Indypendent, there are now more hired guns in Iraq than U.S. military. To quote Scahill, "During the 1991 Gulf War, the ratio of troops to private contractors was about 60 to 1. Today, it is the contractors who outnumber U.S. forces in Iraq. As of July 2007, there were more than 630 war contracting companies working in Iraq for the United States. Composed of more than 180,000 individual personnel drawn from more than 100 countries, the army of contractors surpasses the official U.S. military presence of 160,000 troops."
While several companies are contracted, most hired guns come from a few companies, according to Scahill, who says, "The single largest U.S. contract for private security in Iraq was a 3 million payment to the British firm Aegis Defence Services."
It has been suggested that, in the future, wars will be hired out to these companies, rather than involving military action. Would this be a good idea?
This is a two part question.
How much would a authentic M1 Grand cost?
How much would a AR-15 modified to resemble a M-16 a4 cost?
Any and all answers are appreciated.
Thank you.

All I know is Switzerland and Ireland; are they any others?
I know they are banned in the UK (thankfully; only the military and the government should have guns)
In late 2007 the European Union lawmakers adopted a legislative report to tighten gun control laws and establish an extensive firearms database. Passed with overwhelming backing, the tough new gun control rules were "hoped to prevent Europe from becoming a gun-friendly culture like the United States".
As I do not want to kill ( which I know that even rubber can ) I would prefer to have a gun that will at lease stop them, then they will think twice before coming back.
I will would aim at the legs until they are down. I have military experience. Just not the kill part.
I am in Canada.
I live in Glendale, Arizona and recently went to a gun show. I saw a military grenade launcher with 10 live rounds. Is this illegal to sale? I thought they got banned and where made illegal years ago? I want to buy it but want to make sure its legal to obtain it. Also if it is legal where would I be able to buy more live rounds for the grenade launcher? I plan to use it on my land in the desert. thank you for your time
Virginia gun owners, I’m in the military and would like to buy a gun, Will it be hard to buy one if?
I am not legally a resident of Virginia? I have orders, a Alabama drivers license, military ID and I’m a resident of Louisiana. Would I have any problems?
Because of WWII, the Japanese military are not allowed to send their soldiers overseas to other countries. Are they allowed to arm their soldiers and police with real guns?
Guns, bombs, grenades, explosions are all pretty loud. If you join the Military do they let you wear ear protection? You can go deaf from being in combat right? Or do they prefer you not wear any ear protection? If not then why do they not let you?
I quoted some of this from a lib, and I thought it was perfect……….!!!!!
Sorry the lib i quoted from thought this was bad….!
We can still tweek things after this is installed as government………..
I’m contemplating going into the military after highschool, yet i cant choose which branch i want to go into. I would really like to work with either guns or be a pilot. I’m not sure yet though. I’m even contemplating going to one of the Academies, but im still not sure. What do you think would be best? Which branch do you like best, and explain please.Thanks.
If I could, i would be an infantryman, but im a woman, so thats not really going to work. Thats my dream job though. Any job close to that?
I have a patch that someone gave me that I’d like to put on my coat but i want to know what it means first. It is a standard military (Army i think?) arrow, pointing up, with two guns crossed under it. I searched online and I couldn’t find what it means.
Who could possibly stop them? The libs? Hilary Clinton? I mean it would be so easy for them to do. There wouldn’t be anyone to stop them. So what do you think is holding them back? Do they secretly like the libs?
This concern the Vietnam war in the 1960’s wereby the average age of combat soldiers being send to Vietnam is 19 y/o, which is too young to handle guns and keeping themselves alive in times of war don’t you think? The controversial case of former Cassius Clay or Mohammed Ali who refuse to serve the US Armed Forces because of religious belief. Nobody opposes(Senators or Congressman) the military draft during those times in the US? Is it constitutional?
President Dwight D. Eisenhower said the military-industrial complex was a very dangerous threat to America. This was 50+ years ago, sure, but his words ring true today, just as George Washington’s words are true 200+ years later.
Americans are surrounded by guns and violence in the media and in real life all the time. Politicians have done a good job in using their scare tactics against Americans, like when they say that it is necessary to give up some of your freedom for national security, or something of the sort.
I live in WV and own a AR-15 Bushmaster, Tactical .12 ga Mossburg & other weapons. How do I sell them legally? I have a military spinal cord injury and can no longer enjoy shooting sports and hunting. Most are long guns, but I also have a Colt 1991-A1 .45 semi. and a Rossi S & W J frame Stainless Steel .38. All are like new condition and well cared for. Do I need to have a dealer sell them and give up a commission?
We know all they would do is curl up in a ball and let the government take over their lives, but they insist on attacking people who own guns saying "they won’t do any good when they come with tanks and planes!"
Yet then they attack the military in Iraq, saying its ineffective and that we are "losing" the war against armed insurgents.
Would they criticize the military because they wouldn’t bomb schools and homes in this country if it meant eliminating an insurgency?
i personally feel that even though he says its just hand guns and a state option it is still a start to banning them completly. i think i speak for any hunter, gun owner, and veteran that has fought for that right he will have to pry my guns from my cold dead hands
I’m doing a project on the topic of "Guns or Butter" and I want to give points of reference so people can understand what the United States chooses to do. I was easily able to find the military spending for the US in 2009 but manufacturing is a different story as I cannot find it. Thanks for the help!
