the spartens used wood and metal shields and swords out military uses bombs and bullets but if u mean hand to hand combat then yes i belive it would be a fairly matched fight (then again i think any military going hand to hand is evenly matched)

Yes. the U.S. army would be too busy picking out the Gays hidden in their brigades to notice the Spartans decimating them.
And the Spartans would probably get help from the russians and the chinese…and the middle east…and a lot of other countries that hate our balls…and would probably convince the italians too. Japan might side with em because of their true vendetta for the bombings and…at this point the french wont give a shit and the british would probably side with us. Germany…I want to visit Germany.

Is this a serious question? America would lay down the law hands down. They couldn’t throw their spears as far as our snipers could shoot them from, and it would probably only take a few US Army rangers with SAW’s to mow them down. However, thats only the US ARMY. Not including the Marines, Navy, or Air Force. Marines same as army, Navy would bomb them from 20 miles away, and Air Force from several miles up.

even if the spartan army had modern weapons they would still lose. The united states could fight a battle of attrition and they would win in days because of the sheer numbers in our military.
