Do airsoft sniper rifles work?

December 12th, 2009 by eranio

It just seems to me that it would be really inaccurate. Most guns like the electric rifles are ok as in accuracy but is automatic. But with wind and a pellet being not as accurate can you effectively hit some one about 150 yards away?

Well, depending on the quality of the gun, it could be very accurate. Most of the spring weapons aren’t powerful enough to shoot the required .25 gram bb’s that ensure accuracy. However, I’ve seen two different gas powered snipers that can hit something from 100 yards away.

of course they work but it’s effectively impossible to be a true "sniper" within the game of airsoft… and there is no way in hell you could hit somebody at 150 yards… that’s 450 feet away. most conflicts happen within 30 yards at best. you can hit somebody around 150 FEET with some luck on automatic fire.

Snipers use heavier pellets than regular .2s thats how they are more accurate because the heavier the pellet is the less the wind is affected by it.

    Yards? You’re joking, right?

The best sniper rifles can go maybe 300 FEET, max.
