In the military I learned to shoot a 1911 .45ACP, full auto M-16, a full auto M-14, an M-2 Browning .50 cal. machine gun (a hoot to shoot), a Light Anti-tank Rocket, an M-40 grenade launcher, an M-60 machine gun. Also got my hands on a full auto AK-47, A Sten gun, a Thompson sub machine gun, and a commie RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade), and got to play with a Quad-50, four .50 cal. machine guns in a mount that all fire at once (a rush).
The police showed me a 12 ga riot gun. . .
I really regret missing out on the mini gun.

Military provides better weapons training. They have more and different weapons available.

well duh the military does. they use all sorts of things that the police don’t even have access to.
the marines are extremely well trained, hands down better than any other branch.
