Does the second amendment protect my right to have an automatic assault rifle with a scope?

How about an anti-aircraft gun? A grenade launcher? Pipe bombs?

I think the government has a responsibility to draw a reasonable line regarding what sort of guns are legal.

The second amendment protects the rights of states to form militias, not the rights of private citizens to own grenade launchers.

    Yes..

Are we to believe that nine of the first ten amendments spell out individual rights and for some reason the second applies to the state and not the individual?..

According to the 2nd Amendment (which the government generally ignores), what part of "…shall not be infringed" do you think "a reasonable line regarding what sort of guns are legal" does NOT violate?

Do you not understand the "shall not" or is it the concept of "infringe[]"?

    Nope,

You can only buy a automatic weapon, if you have a ATF Class lll Firearms license.

    OMG OMG, a scope

yes, ban those scopes, they are so dangerous,

I heard 40 people were killed by a scope just last week.

And telescopes must be scopes of mass destruction !!!!!!!!!!!!

No, the second amendment refers to arms bore by militia.

Are you the member of a militia?

Yes it does, the real question is whether there is a reasonable line we can draw with respect to what liberals won’t allow the government to do.

It should. It would make it easier to kill a crackhead who comes running into my home at 3AM.
