Does the US make most of their military weapons?
Also How much does Canada help the US with their service members and/or weapons? I have a Canadian friend who likes to say Canada;s military is better, and he tries to back it up with facts, but they all seem to be pulled out of his ass. I have nothing against Canadians or the US just want to know how much the Canadians contribute to the US and possibly how much we contribute to their military.

It is a requirement that all US military weapons be made in the US. But the US military doesn’t make them. Weapons manufacture is contracted out to Gun Manufacturers like Colt, FN-Herstal, Beretta, Remington, and Barrett. Canada doesn’t help with our service members, dunno what you mean by that. With NORAD, the US and Canada work closely together and we do share technology. Canada’s military is much much smaller than the US and Canada doesn’t have nearly as large a budget for their military as we do.
Nope the US should blow up a few countries
Weapons are a global economy.
America will destroy the Canadian military, hands down. Canadians are even more brainwashed and ignorant than Americans. I have one cousin that told me the Swiss Army was the toughest in the world. It doesn’t matter how well an Army is trained, technology and sheer numbers will dominate every time. Don’t forgot determination.
The American Army has more people. We have more gun nuts. It would be harder to penetrate America than it would be for us to penetrate Canada. Don’t even waste your time with this dude, he’s an idiot.
Once we encircle Ontario, it’s over.

US weapons are made by a variety of defense contractors.
Some of these contractors are global companies.
For instance, Berreta is an Italian company, but they make the M9. The M9 service pistol is NOT produced in Italy though.
In order to qualify for a defense contract, the weapon must be produced entirely within US borders, in US factories.
The concept of conflict between the US and Canada is ascenine. Ignoring that, most equipment used by Canada is of US origin; some made under license in Canada. A lot – maybe even a majority – of Candadian Officers and a lot of NCO’s train with the US military on a regular basis.
To answer your opening question – its the policy of the US government to source the requirements of the military in particular domestically. If that’s not possible – from friendly nations.
