Good Military Rifles?

November 20th, 2009 by eranio

What do you know of the following rifles? are they typically a good shooters? Are they easy to change out the barrels or to scope them?

Norinco M-14S ‘G.I.Rifle’
SVT-40
SWISS 96/11 RIFLE

Thanks!

Well, I would stay away from Norinco M-14′s. But it would be the easiest to scope.

The SVT-40 would be my choice out of the 3. cheap ammo. Nice power a little hard to find a scope though.

as for the 96/11. Probably the most accurate out of the 3. Ammo is sometimes hard to find. And will be harder to find with the up coming president elect. Very Hard to find a decent scope mount for.

If I were you I would save up and buy a SpringField Armory M1a or Socom 2

It’s not so much the rifle as the person behind the buttstock. You may have an M-82-A1A .50 sniper rifle, but if you can’t shoot, what’s the point?

Whatever you get, stick with a couple of basic calibers.

    7.62×39

    5.56/.223

    .308

30-06 (but even the 30-06 is getting very expensive)

    Or, google "SASR"
