Haven’t you noticed how the republican party is all about war and guns and military? ?
December 22nd, 2009 by eranio
Doesn’t that scare you? Some of the people chanting "USA..USA.." at their convention tonight reminded me of the Hitler Youth Corps…

Republicans for the most part are pro war regardless of the circumstances like money, allies, and lives. To protect our country formost is one thing but to first go after resources and to impose democracy on other countries is another, especially when our country is not even a real democracy.. I mean do we really elect our president?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Thats one of the main reasons I, my family and my friends are all voting democrat.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Yes, stealing our tax dollars ten million a month.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
really ??? do you know hitler also used to speak at large stadiums with people chanting????
guess which candidate does that????
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
No pull your head out of your ass.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
It appeals to their redneck fanbase
(go ahead and give me thumbs down)
But yes it was very scary compared to the happy and hopeful vibe at the DNC.. Republicans have used fear as a tool for decades i hope you didnt just notice
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm

December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm

yes it did seem dark and violent to me. I am tired of innocent good American people dying. I am all for Obama, he is the most intelligent out of all of them.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Are you a girl?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
They’re shouting "USA" during McCain’s convention. At the other convention they were shouting "Obama". Which sounds more like Hitler to you? I’d rather hear the name of my country being shouted and know the people are for the country than hearing a bunch of half wits pinning all their hopes on an angry faced empty suit who promises great change….just like Hitler.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Yes, the whole thing in St. Paul is scary.
I felt a little sick to my stomach and a friend called and we talked about this and she said it reminded her of Nazi Germany.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
I use to live in Southern Illinois, and actually a lot of people down there vote democratic. A lot of people find that surprising because of how popular guns are down there.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Where have you been this whole time? LOL. Tell something we don’t know.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Idiot…instead lets fill the pockets of our lobyists..screw the military and whether or not our service members get a pay raise or have the money they need to fight a war and not be killed for reasons that shouldn’t be. Grow up
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Sorry, but I am a Democrat. I own many guns, love the military and think that war is a tool that has to be used from time to time.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Yeah, that’s true. But they are also about these things:
Tax Cuts:
Economic Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001:
Reduced lowest tax rate for 15% to 10%, and the highest from 39.6% to 35%. Obliterated a $230 BILLION surplus and created a $413 BILLION deficit. A study by the Tax Policy Center found that low- and middle-income Americans, the bottom 60% of Americans only recieved 13.7% of the tax cuts.
No Child Left Behind:
By the end of President Bush’s first term, complaints about the administrations failure to fund the Act were shelling the White House.
Kyoto Protocol
Set requirements for 38 industrialized nations to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. Bush pulled out of the treaty.
With the rejection of the protocol and the decision to withdraw from the Anti Ballistic Missile Treaty, President Bush seemed to be leading the country on a road not traveled since after World War I, that of isolationism.
Domestic Policies
"This administration, in catering to industries that put America’s health and natural heritage at risk, threatens to do more damage to our environmental protections than any other in U.S. history." – The National Resources Defense Council
He accused Democrats of wanting to make Social Security a Federal program, even though it HAS been a federal program since it’s inception under Roosevelt. (lol)
I don’t think I need to go into the War in Iraq.
"George Bush dispenses with people who confront him with inconvenient facts. He truly believes he’s on a mission from God. Absolute faith like that overwhelms a need for analysis. The whole thing about faith is to believe things for which there is no empirical evidence, but you can’t run the world on faith." – Bruce Bartlett, domestic policy advisor to Ronald Reagan
Speaking of Reagan, to be fair, Bush did reinstate one of Reagan’s policies that stopped federal funds going to international organizations that advocated or paid for abortions.

And what have you done for this country? Nothing. Those men and women served in wars and they are proud of their country, and you should be thankful that they fought for ungracious scum like you.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
About as much as Dems are only about welfare, communism, and bad morals. Come on now, get real. I did hear several chants during the DNC, so what, are you un American that you dont believe in showing pride in your country?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Guns and militaries are two of the most necessary things in the world. America wouldn’t even exist without either. War is an abomination and can only be justified when defending your own land from invasion. Guess which side is doing that?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Not so much. It’s about lower taxes, less restrictions on business, and creating growth. Republicans also happen to be bright enough to realize that a strong defense is necessary, and to appreciate the need for the second amendment right to bear arms.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
First of all, those are the platforms of the GOP.
First of all, protect the Constitution and it’s meaning entirely.
Next, fully fund the military and make sure it’s readily available to the people of the United States. To protect and defend.. does that mean anything to you?
Third, you have more veterans that are registered Republicans than any other political party, look it up you’ll find the statistics somewhere.
Fourth, the second Amendment inherently gives the right of the people to keep and bare arms to form a well regulated militia. That means that citizens can carry guns to form a militia if the need be. It doesn’t mean we can walk around on the streets carrying an AK47 shooting it in the air like crazy people, it just means we have the right to OWN a gun.
Fifth, you learn all of the aforementioned in the eighth grade where they teach you about the Constitutionn and political parties. Hope you have a diploma..
(probably not, you are a liberal.)
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
No….It reminded me of something many Democrats know little about:
American Patriotism & Respect For America
Only terrorists are scared by someone chanting " USA "
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
what`s the problem about chanting USA USA?…are you another angry leftist american hater like michelle obama
GO USA USA USA USA USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
they’re really just about the oil, or as they called it tonight "energy policy." is it becoming clear why the oil companies told mccain who his VP was going to be. why there was no "vetting."
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Give me a freakin break the war has been going on for how long now? well over 4 years meaning the men and women who are still fighting over seas do so of their own free will either that or they were stupid enough to believe they could join the army and avoid being sent overseas IT’S THEIR OWN FAULT NOT THE GOVERMENT
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Okay Einstein, wasn`t Lyndon Johnson credited by the people including himself for having the Vietnam War out of control?!?!?!?
Wasn`t he a Democract????? Wasn’t he the one decided not to rerun for elections because of his war failures?!?!?!?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
There platform should be " if it don’t agree with you then shoot it!"Once they found out that Palin can shoot a moose they went crazy for her. And they call us Obamanites.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
War – I hate it. Guns – we have a constitutional right to own them if we are a law abiding citizen (Refer to the Second Amendment, that is, assuming you know there IS a Constitution), and our military is out there protecting your sorry a** so that you can post a stupid question like this one.
They chanted "USA" at the DNC…..I watched it on TV, so I didn’t get a contact high like the crowd in the stadium.
How dare you compare people to and use Hitler to make a very weak political statement.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
My main thing is, I want America to stay safe. The Republicans have done that for us. I want it to stay safe, I don’t know about you, I want to stay secure… USA, USA, USA, USA!!!!
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
…yes, and old white men too. OK some old white women. Ok, lots of white people.
With militarisitc thinking like that, this is the reason that USA will descend to the lower echelons of nations in the coming years. If you fight 21st century problems with 20th century (and before the 20th century) troubleshooting tools, you are going to get a financially and morally bankrupt nation.
But I have to admit I absolutely did not like the huge jumboscreen of Barack in Denver. THAT looked like 1984.

Errrr, excuse me. Listen up and pay attention now and you may learn something.
WW1: President, Wilson, Democrat
WW2: President. Roosevelt, Democrat
Korea: President. Truman, Democrat
Vietnam: President, Johnson, Democrat
Hmmm, do you see a trend there?
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Yes I have noticed and yes it does scare me. Just look at the last 8 years…
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:36 pm
Guns are a Constitutionally protected right. I don’t see what your problem there is, unless you’re anti-Constitution.
As far as war and military goes, that could describe both sides (except a few patriots like Ron Paul). According to his blueprintforchange.pdf on his website, Obama’s going to supply the military with new equipment, training, increase it by 100,000 men, etc. His plan (once again, according to the pdf on his website) – he’s going to get the US involved in conflicts in Africa. And he may or may not take the troops out of Iraq. He says he will, but he also says he’ll make sure the Iraqis are safe (once again, in the pdf on his website). Personally, I don’t see how he can both take the troops out of Iraq *and* make sure Iraqis are safe.
If you were truly opposed to the wars, you should have voted Ron Paul, because he was the only one that would have gotten it done. But now it’s too late for him.
