How does the military issue weapons?

   most units are MTOE units so you don’t really get "issued" your weapon. it’s more like there’s a weapon there already saved for an open slot…then you come along and fill the slot and there’s your weapon. but soldiers can’t just grab their weapon when in garrison…weapon immersion only happens during deployments and basic trainin.

   Most tactical units you are issued a weapon but you do not keep your weapon on you. It stays in the Armour room until times of deployment when you will have it on you all the time. Or when you go the the rifle range or any kind of training requiring a weapon.

   yea .. u get ure weapons card with ur weapons serial # and thats ur weapon … u go to the armory when u need to use it … u cant like just go get it as u please … if ure going to the range or in the field, or if u need to clean it u check it out .. and u have to bring it back by like 1600 i think .. unless ure depoyd or in the field then u have it with u for as the training in the field is going on .. and u have to bring ur weapon everywhere! and i mean everywhere .. like evenif ure going to use the jon.unless ure leaving the site .. then u handed off to some1 who will watch it for u …

   You get what you’re given. What you’re given depends on your job.

   Choice? HA! This is the MILITARY, not Burger King! You don’t get it your way!
