360fps is ok, but for a sniper I would say move up to about 400fps that way you got a bit more range!

That is perfectly ok if your just starting off and your just playing with a few friends out in a field (although a little overkill for a backyard battle) but if you think you will really get into it i think some were around 400 to 450 would be a little better you might want to try this link.

360 FPS is in the expert area of airsoft. Hell yeah thats enough! In fact, for a good airsoft sniper, that FPS is perfect. To know how much FPS I mean, trying shooting that at someone like 20 feet away and see what kind of mark/puncture that would leave. 300 FPS leaves a good enough mark if impacted just right. A starting speed is actually like 150 fps and from the looks of it your jumping way ahead. If you want to start out small, go to Wal-Mart. If you want to start out a little better than that, then go to a Sports Authority where they have all the airsoft M-16s and M-4s. I would be more than happy to tell you more, just email me through profile.

It would depend on where you are playing. 360 fps is usually the speed of a good AEG. Good Snipers should start at about 400 fps and go up from there. I don’t know which one you are looking at, but check out Airsplat.com. They have a great selection of Snipers that go up to 500+ fps.
