I am looking to buy an airsoft sniper rifle to use in some small airsoft fights with my friends. most of the rifles i have looked at seem to be firing .2g rounds at over 400 fps. I just wanted to know if this was safe to be using against other people at a range of 50-100 feet.

My advice is wear safety glasses. My friend got nailed in the eye from about 75 feet away with a rifle and he had to go get laser surgery after to correct his eye cause it will never be the same. always wear protective gear….check at wal-mart they got some cheap stuff just to make sure you dont get hurt.

It is safe as long as you wear a mask when getting shot. It will still hurt a little

As long as they are wearing proper eye protection and if the gun is 450 FPS + set a minimum engagement rule that you CANNOT fire on someone within a certain range

You need to make sure that the eye protection is genuinely good as well, cheapo little glasses can break, plus the BB’s can rebound and go up under the glasses and still do damage. Some of those goggles that wrap around your head (like the ones you swim with) are a great thing to have, full face protection will probably be a lot better for the younger players as well, or the ones who have had braces. Wouldn’t be good to have a hole burst into your teeth you had 6,000 dollars put into.
