I have had military training in firearms, i have served in Desert Storm and Afghanistan?
I also have a concealed carry permit, and several registered pistols and other firearms. Now why on earth do others want to stand up and say that i shouldnt be allowed to own a weapon or carry a gun? If i am responsible enough to carry a gun in Iraq or Afghanistan, why cant i carry one in America?

Well, because according to Roise O’Donnell (whose bodyguards carry weapons, by the way), there is a chance that a child might one day find your weapon, and it might be loaded, and it might be pointed at another child, and that other child might be shot.
Of course, using that logic, we should ban pencils, because a child might find the pencil, and might run with the pencil, and the pencil might be point-up, and the child might fall, and the pencil might go through his/her cheek.

Fortunately, you can do exactly this in 40 states.

First, congratulations on defending our country. We need more like you!
The answer is because some people wrongly equate guns with killing. They fail to see that a gun, in the hands of a trained and certified owner like yourself can also be used to protect and defend others.
My advice is that you live in a state which allows people to carry weapons. I know that Texas and Florida do. I’m sure there are many more.
Good luck!

You just like every other American has the right to bear arms.
The problem is with these wackos going on a shooting spree. It’s getting harder by the day to legally own much less use a firearm. Thanks for your service in the military. There are some people who appreciate it (myself included).

First I want to say "Thank You" for serving our Country and protecting our people.
As far as I’m concerned you should have the right to carry a gun, and most likely with the crime rate in this Country, you need it more than you did in Afghanistan!
I was raised up with guns we were taught to respect them and to use them if necessary, that I will do!

for one good reason, if you get hit by a car and some punk finds you laying there and takes your guns it will be on your soul. or you go to bed at night someone breaks in your house steals the guns and you wake up to the sound of shots wringing in your ear, or your grandson come over some day finds the guns and blows his head off, or your wife gets agree because you shot your mouth off gets a gun and puts a hole in your new had you just put on, or you get mad at you neighbour he pulls a knife you pull a gun and your in prison for the rest of your life, but maybe the best reason is you needed a gun in Iraq and Iran and we thank you for what you and the other brave warriors did for those poor unfortunate souls, but your home now settle down let the cops handle any problems you may need a gun for .

What state do you live in where you have to "register" your firearms?

FIrst of all, thank you for your service to this great nation. I have no problem with anyone who is responsible carrying a gun. It’s those like Cho who scare me, because it is so very easy for people to get guns these days, even those who are not supposed to have one for one reason or another (ie ex felons). (Nothing against them either!) The right to bear arms is not what it was originally meant to be and it is a shame this nation has turned into what it has.

Because these people are panzies. They have a victim mentality. And mostly, they are incapable of reasoned thought.
