Thanks Keith, i dont care what your personal opinion is about military members, the question was about hand guns. Also idk if you were a member of the military ( i doubt you were) but unless you are, you can keep those opinions to yourself

Being in the military doesn’t give you special rights for your private firearms.

No, HOWEVER, one does not need to be 21 to "own" a handgun in any state that im aware of. Even california that i live in. You simply can not be sold a hand gun my a FFL (liscensed gun shop). I believe in most states you can buy a hand gun from a normal person and just do a transfer (which probably cost 20-100 bucks depending on state fees and paperwork costs). Or if your states play real hardball like in california you can have the gun transfered to you ONLY by your mom/dad grandma/grandpa. So they purchase it for you, then transfer it….

A very good site for information regarding this kind of stuff is calguns.net
They have everything you need to know from swindling handgun laws to building a ar15 in an assault weapon banned state. Theres ways to do everything, you just gotta research harder than the average joe to find it :)

Bill’s right. Getting in the military will connect you with lots of people who are very excited about guns who will be extremely happy to buy a gun and then sell it to you at 18.
