    no it is not true.

although when the MD sniper was on the loose they did do checks to see where people who had training in that trype of shooting were and if it was possible for them to be doing it.

There was also a case where home robberies were taking place in high rise building and the technic that was being used was much like a military technic and they started checking on soldiers who were trained in such a way in the area turned out to be members of ranger teams that were no longer in that were using their training to pull off the crimes.

Now legally speaking if you are trained in the manner they are or even a professional boxer or MMA fighter and you kill someone in a fight it can be used against you becuase of your trainning it is not the same as a normal citzen fighting and it is precieved that you should know that death could be a likley outcome of using your skills.

In general no.several years ago one member of the marine corp was required to by one of our Eastern states because he was an expert in several martial arts. I have several friends who were SEALS and none of them were required to be so registered.
There maybe a few cases requiring it or was in the past but in general no

yes, its true that elites like that are deadly weapons. Navy seals and the elite forces are the only ones allowed to have heavy weapons alongside their armory. Examples are: XM29-OICW, M414 prototype, ect.

My husband had to register his biceps as lethal weapons in 36 States–he’s got some big guns.

No, they don’t register themselves. However certain training such as Sniper and EOD does get people put on the FBI watch lists.
