the military aint letting u keep the issue weapon. but when ur out in the field or combat u get to sleep with it! but back in garrison the weapon stays in the armory unless ur cleaning it or qualifying. check ur local gun club, take a safety gun training.

negative. joining the military is a minimum 4 year commitment. its easier to just go buy a gun and join a local gun club.

No, you should join if you want to serve your country, you can get into guns anytime you want to without doing that.

you could just take up hunting. or go to your local rifle range.

If this is the only reason you want to join then don’t, the military is not a game.

You’ll get to shoot cool guns, but not as often as you like, and at the shooting ranges, they suck all of the fun out of everything. So the answer is NO.

no just join your local gun club. joining the military takes a lot of dedication and time. if you’re only doing as a hobby don’t go to that extreme.

If you want to play with guns, join the local range. As a military member, your job is to defend the country and fight wars, not play with guns. In training you will be cleaning guns more then firing them.

nope. you can get into guns without joining the military. there are plenty of gun stores and gun groups that you can join to get interested in it. joining the military just to get into guns is not a smart idea. if you want to join the military to support your country and believe in fighting for freedom and get money for education, then it’s a good idea.

join some gun clubs and read alot about guns. I have a friend and he works in a bar/restaurant/dive center and he knows everything about guns

WE have weapons in the military!

Your "gun" is that thing between your legs!

Definitely!! What better place to play and shoot firearms. Military don’t refer them as ‘guns’. Actually, you earn ACE credit while being in the military in gunsmithing, not much credits but it give you the idea. My hobby is reloading ammo and modifying weapons – different trigger housings, hammer, barrel, etc. I’m into benchmarking my weapons. As a Marine, weapons are our way of life. It’s better to gain experience while in the military, drills and such.

The two aren’t entirely mutually exclusive, but your hobby will be more restricted in the military than in civilian life, and you may have less time for it.

    No
military life is regimented and rigorously controlled
combat zones and certain groups may be a little different but generally you get to have what they tell you you can have, where you can have it, when you can have it, what you can put in it and when you can put it in
you will generally see a very limited number of weapons – except for those pointed at you
Join the Armed Services to serve your Country – not play with guns and knives – they ain’t toys.

Military is more then just GUNS.. You will learn allot about some Rifles that are called Weapons. Will learn how to maintain, fire ,clean, and the capabilities of each weapon, If you join , you should join for the right reasons. You do not have to get in shape to join the Army. In Basic Training they will brake your body down and rebuild it. The in-portent thing is your state of mind and desire to be the best you can be, and the wiliness to put you life on the line for life , liberty, and freedom we all have in this country. It is a life away from your family and friends, but in the Army you find close friends and find a new kind of family, that will stay with you the rest of your life, and you will never meet most if them.. It takes a SPACIAL kind of person to be a SOLDIER… If you do decide to join your Military Service …. Let ME be the FRI ST to tell you THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE !

    no

The military is a job, not a hobby. If you want to just shoot guns as a hobby you should go buy some guns and take them to a shooting range.
