Is there a place where i can learn to be a marksman before joining the military?
I want to be able to take a civilian course on marksmanship with rifles (bolt action, semiautomatic, automatic if possible), but i can’t find any. I live in Florida and I am hoping to find something local. I’m only fifteen, I understand that most places require you to be 18 years of age. I can wait, but if any don’t require you to be 18 or older that would be great. Thanks for your time.

There should be gun ranges somewhere near you, you would have to have a parent there with you.
Or if your school has a JROTC program.
But it is not necessary to learn how to shoot before basic.
Generally people who have shot before basic, have to unlearn the wrong way to shoot, that they had already learned.
Previous shooting experience has nothing to do with how well you will shoot in the military.
You would be surprised at how many people in basic that shoot the highest scores, never held a weapon before they went to basic.

i’m not from florida but i’ll give you an advice. go with your dad on hunting trips and start practicing with your dad’s .223 rifle. an AR-180b scope mounted cal.223 is much similar to the romanian AK-47
scope mounted .554NATO and both have quite good reputations.
machine guns are for assault and not for snipers or gunnery seargents.
machine pistols like micro uzi’s need not be practiced.
if you can get hold of a big bore cal.50, that’s a good gun to bring down hippos, elephants as well as small choppers too. join the NRA
