Liberals say guns would be useless if we had to rebel against a corrupt government?

We know all they would do is curl up in a ball and let the government take over their lives, but they insist on attacking people who own guns saying "they won’t do any good when they come with tanks and planes!"
Yet then they attack the military in Iraq, saying its ineffective and that we are "losing" the war against armed insurgents.
Would they criticize the military because they wouldn’t bomb schools and homes in this country if it meant eliminating an insurgency?

I have no idea what you are talking about because my guns (and yes, I am a lib and I have quite a few) would be helpful against a corrupt government.
And I have never attacked the military anywhere, especially since my nephew, sister and niece are over in Iraq as we speak.

There ia a huge difference. Americans always eventually get tired of sending Americans to die to protect other nations. Not so when the threat is here at home. More Americans died in the civil war than any war since.

I hate to do this, but i have to answer your question with a question.
If it actually got to that point, would the military fire on U.S.citizens? Would the Generals actually listen to the current administration? Just a thought.

I have 4 guns. Never done any crime with them, as my dad says if anyone supports gun control put a huge sign in your yard saying " No Guns here!" see how long it is before they’re robbed or murdered.

Well the big question is would our troops fire upon their own citizens. I personally know that many would not and would defect taking their planes and tanks with them. The National Guard armories are also would be taken over. If it came down to a revolution. The U.S. would need UN troops to do their dirty work.

I look at it this way, if the day comes when I have to pick up my guns, I’ll do it. Anyone who believes that our military would not fire on us is deluding themselves.
I come from a military family, and served myself, and can tell you we are trained to follow orders, period. Just like Jack Nicholson said in "A Few Good Men", "you follow orders or people die".
Even if a few soldiers deserted because they didn’t agree with what was happening, 1) There would still be plenty left to follow orders, 2) if the deserters were ever caught, they could be put to death for treason.
Everyone of us need to look at facts and realities instead of fooling ourselves into believing in warm and fuzzies, simple because it helps us sleep at night.

Liberals are bitter, angry and dogmatic. They yearn for a choreographed fantasy world which disputes human nature. They swoon at the idea of standing on the side of the hill while reciting poetry with talking raccoons and drinking decaffeinated Coke.
Liberals want to play happily in a field of daisies, unable to accept that we live in a time of daisy cutters. True, if their desires were the rule of the land they would get their wish. Our enemies would gladly provide that field of daisies, and make certain every single American – liberal or conservative – was pushing them up.
That the recycling truck might be an hour late propels liberals into a state of near hysteria. That someone might actually own a gun sends them running to the therapist for Prozac, grief-counseling and Deepak Chopra seminars. They seek order, safety and security at any cost, rather than individuality, liberty and freedom.
The garden variety leftist attacks our country with every breath, oblivious to the fact that their ability to speak out, to acquire their toys, to travel and protest and whine, are provided by the very system they despise. They know only hate for those who disagree with their Utopian vision of unchecked liberalism. They immediately label as racists any who counter their nonsensical ramblings with the logic of protecting our sovereignty and future. They want but one thing…for their fellow travelers to control Congress and the White House. o_O
