im thinking of joining the canadian armed forces. i know all of the physical requirements (2.4km in 12 minutes, etc) but im wondering how accurate a group do you need to have with the standard c7 rifle. i have hunted and shot a number of firearms but never an ar-15 style weapon.

They will train you to shoot the C7 well. I don’t think I have ever heard of a recruit being unable to shoot their rifle well enough to pass the marksmanship tests. They drill it over and over again to get you good at it.
