if u have a standard m4/m16 that the army gives you, do you have to pay for optics such as acog acopes/ holographic etc. and also would u have to pay or be granted to have a m203 grenade launcher etc?

Oh goodness, more video game questions.
You are issued the weapon appropriate for you job and any accessories and equipment that would be appropriate for your mission. If your are the fire team grenadier you get an M203. If you are not, you don’t. If you are the squad SAW gunner you get an M249. If you are not, you don’t, etc, etc, etc…

First the Army does not GIVE weapons to any Soldier, they are loaned as needed and returned. You are not even allowed to keep firearms in any type of military housing. They must all be kept in the armory.
Some units will allow you to change out the scope, some will only let you use what is issued. You must purchase things that will fit on the weapon as is, you are not allowed to alter it. By the way, don’t forget to change it before turning the weapon in, or you will never see it again.
Grenade launches are used by qualified personnel.

You can go off and buy your own scopes if you are authorized only.
The m203 Grenade Launcher is not just sold to soldiers willy nilly they are assigned/loaned to qualified soldiers.

To unlock the m203 you need to complete Marksmanship I and get 10 kills. After that they let you use the 40mm all you want.

You will be issued optics according to your qualifications, MOS, and role in a conflict (as some soldiers with a certain MOS do other things, like how Tank Crews in Afghanistan are doing dismounted, infantry patrols). A grenade launcher is only issued to those that are qualified with it.

the military issues you a weapon and everything for it. you do not get to keep any part of it but you also do not have to pay for anything. you are issued what you need, this isnt COD6.
