		<description>yes, a man portable laser would be impossible at this time. The powerful lasers we have are too delicate and require too much power for an individual to carry it.  

As for someone standing still long enough to be burned by a laser, the most powerful lasers we have today cause missiles to explode in flight in a tiny fraction of a second.  They would vaporize a person almost instantly.</description>

		<description>No one is going to sit still long enough to get burned by a laser.  Laser guns are not an option and will not be for the foreseeable future.  The latest military endeavor involving lasers is exploring the possibility of using high-powered lasers to permanently blind enemy pilots.  Sad but true.</description>

		<description>well i saw on discovery that they actually did a laser for destroying rockets in the air.but it is BIG.they did a mobile version it was a laser mounted on a truck but it was huge.so i don&#039;t think they will have laser rifles in the next let&#039;s say 10 years</description>
