military weapons/cannons?

March 8th, 2010 by eranio

I am looking for a military cannon to be placed on a commercial property for decorative purposes in Massachusetts. Could you point me in the right direction? I prefer a cannon type(s) from WWII. Non-firing, obviously. Thanks.

did you get an o.k. from your liberal government of MA.
no way they will allow you to put a cannon on your business.
    don’t waste your time.

You need to contact the commading officer at your local National Guard. Obsolete or surplus items can be had on loan. I recieved an M1959 Personell Carrier, 30 cal Machine Gun for atop it and 2 ,81 mm mortars.
It can be a long process, but start with him.

Usually if it is for a Memorial or Veteran related use, it is easy…for a commercial property, Im not sure

Above please find a link to a *reproduction*, which only fires blanks (it just makes a noise , and does not fire projectiles).

Below are some links I saved in my Bookmarks menu.
