Most of the assualt rifles are good in their own right, (omitting of course the F2000), but for hardcore i would recommend FAL, ?(one hit KO with ridiculous accuracy), TAR, (great power with good spray when you need it). M16 is amazing with stopping power but SCAR-H is great even without. M4 is also a decent choice for HC. I would strongly suggest not using ACR in regular with stopping power
EDIT: WA2000 is probably the best non hardcore sniper-hits in the chest are still one hit KO’s with stopping power and low recoil. Hardcore is obviously M21-EBR- no recoil and one hit power without stopping power

Scar H is more powerful, but the ACR is more accurate. I personally prefer the ACR.
I like most assault rifles but my favs are ACR and M16.
Sniper I would say Intervention and Barrett, both almost always one shot kills (with stopping power) and I hate the other snipers when people spam bullets at you
