Ooo… that’s a big ol’ can of worms.

As MJ said, the M1 has to be up top there… there are a *lot* of people looking for 1903′s though… certain variants running multiple thousands.

Then again, you have people more interested in the Nazi armament, and those who go for the Russian arms.

All depends on what they want I suppose.

Usually the Luger P-08 is one of the most collected WWII firearms and yes they appreciate.

Although others are more rare and valuable, I think that the M1 Garand is at the top of more people’s "must have" list than anything else.

The 3 most popular American weapons are:

    M1 Garand
    M1 Carbine
    Colt 1911 .45 auto pistol

These weapons were also made by other companies to step up production during WWII, identical models which are "parts swappable". For instance, Remington Rand made Colt pistols. Even the models made by other companies are still worth good money. In fact Rockola, a juke box company, made M1 Carbines, they are worth the most of all the M1 carbines. Even IBM made M1 Carbines!

M1 Garand and 1911 are already covered, how about the Colt SAA (Single Action Army?) Extrenely valuable in good condition.

One of Custer’s Gattling Guns, which he was tricked into getting separated from for chasing a small band of Indian warriors up the Little Big Horn, into History.
