Parts for Swiss K-31 rifle?

September 5th, 2010 by eranio

I love my rifle, (one the best military rifles for accuracy and you can scope it)….Anyway, Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket stock, or another 6 round magazine, or better yet, an extended magazine for it? oh, is there any ammo I can use in place of the the swiss 7.62×55. (something that is cheaper?)
Thanx!

This Swiss army got by with that K31 for years as is… why do you need to modify it?

I think that rifle is supposed to be served with stripper clips… got any? That is a very efficent way to load a battle rifle. Learn to use em- you will love em.

7.62×55 Swiss has always been a little hard to find. Remember Switerland is about the size of the county I live in. They only have so much "surplus" and it’s a b@stard round so I’d learn to reload for it if you want a long and loving relationship with that particular rifle.

Ok, I know that I wouldn’t recommend changing it from its issued form, but yes I know where you can get a sporter stock for your k-31.
It’s near the bottom of the 1st link.

And for your mag, check the 2nd link.

    And ammo on the 3rd.

You must use the 7.5×55 swiss shells. Sportsman’s Guide has the surplus ammo right now. They also sell stripper clips. You will have a heck of a time finding a replacement mag (they are individually numbered to match the rifle) and no one makes a aftermarket stock, yet, but the swiss is really gaining in popularity. I have a walnut stocked 1942 model, all numbers matching, with a very nice stock (not chewed up like most). My wife has better eyes than I do, she can shoot a honest sub moa group at 100 yards open sights and all. I can only muster about 1 1/2". If you are having a hard time finding the surplus ammo, go to cabelas. com, they carry the wolf gold as well as the hornady 7.5×55 swiss. I should pick up another swiss before they get much more expensive, they are a heck of a rifle.
