Question on military weapons?
February 15th, 2010 by eranio
Which makes a louder report up close and at a distance? A military M4/M16/M249 in 5.56X45 or an AK-47 in 7.62X39?
Assuming the 5.56×45 has a higher chamber pressure and muzzle velocity than the 7.62X39?

I would say that the 5.56 X 45mm cartridge creates the higher pitched soundwaves. It is chambered to a higher pressure than regular 7.62 X 39mm ammo. Higher pressure = Bigger bang.

You really do have problems don’t you? And these are just the ones I found with your two accounts. You remind me of someone else who has the same issue. If you block me I will know for sure.
