Serious Questions for people in the military?
what all do you need to get into the army? how can i work out now to get into the military? and are there good benfits afterwards? i’m considering joining, after high school. But what credits do I need if any? and afterwards would i still be able to become a vet? when you join the military do you use guns like shoot people? or what? what can i do now to help my knees? i have bad knee’s and back from being abused when i was little by my dad… how can i become stronger?
Thanks for all the Great answers!

high school diploma, push ups, pull ups, sit ups and run three miles three times a week should be a dam good start. the gi bill along with 400k life insurance,in some instances enlistment bonuses or education kickers. room and board job training and more training. and if you go 20 straight you can retire by 38 yrs old with a yearly paycheck rather than relying on social security or savings.
-as for the gun thing this is how my brother who got back from iraq put it. "if you are lucky enough to get into a gun fight try to kick as much A$$ as possible so you can have a dam good story about it" fire fights outside of special ops are not as pretty as you think.

you need a high school diploma or GED.
You will also need to pass the MEPS physical. Your bad knees and back may be an issue if they feel you cant perform to your fullest. Unless you can function easily and normal without pain after a short/long period of time then you may be fine. But they physical may be an issue if there is things on your medical record saying that you have bad knees etc.
Also if you want to become a veterinarian (thats what i’m assuming when you say vet..not veteran.lol) there are vets in the military that deal with K9 military police dogs. And even on the base that I’m at there is a veterinary hospital for people on base who have pets to go to. SO if thats something you want to do then maybe look into that field. Not all jobs is just shooting people, unless you are infantry.
Best of luck!
