Should I buy a assault rifle now, before Obama bans them?

LeeCee – If I wanted to do mass murder I would create a bomb using household chemicals. Which you can learn how to do on the internet!

Yes go ahead. Buy 3 or 4. Just make sure they’re American and not Russian or Chinese.

Buying a assault rifle (Fully auto I’m assuming) has been illegal and always will be.

I wouldn’t bother with an assault rifle. Outdated, and not powerful enough to defend you against government forces. You would only aggravate them with such a quaint weapon. I would go with a microwave cannon, or an acid rifle. They might think twice before trying to stroll onto your property like they own it if you could melt the quarter-panels right off their squad cars. If you have a large enough generator you might be able to build a strong enough laser to hold them off. You may or may not have the capacity to arm yourself in such a way, I don’t know. But if all you had was an assault rifle, I would just leave it in the closet. It will just get you killed.

Remember the story some years back about those guys in LA that had body armor, assault rifles, and even armor piercing bullets? Well, they still lost, and they were only up against the police. How would you intend to defend yourself against the National Guard, or God-forbid, a regular infantry squad, or mechanized armor? Remember that government lawyers are currently under the impression that during a time of war, the President has the authority to place military forces into ANY neighborhood, and arrest ANY citizen, and hold them indefinitely in the interest of national security, courtesy of the patriot act.

If you are a person who feels threatened by the government, you will need a lot more than an assault rifle to do anything about it.

    Amen Dr. Phil!

An assault rifle is a fully automatic machine gun.

Fully automatic machine guns have been illegal for years.

What Obama calls an assault rifle is not really an assault rifle.

However I would buy the guns that Obama wants to ban before he bans them.

I would also stock up on ammunition and reloading supplies so that you can reload the spent cartridge cases.

Then they come straight to your house.
Find the video of FEMA pushing a little old lady around taking her weapon with all the looters around.
    Hansel and Gretal.

    1. What do you want an assault rifle for?

    2. Obama isn’t banning them, he doesn’t want to. He wants to make it harder for people to get them because guns are abused.

i thought assault rifles were already banned? last time i checked i still can’t get a kalashnikov.

Well it depends on what you mean by assault rifle. You can’t actually buy a true assault rifle right now anyway, but if you’re looking to get something a little sporty like an sks or an M14 maybe an m4 yes I guess. They have a history of going against guns more for the way they look so I would be more worried about getting any composite stocks or accessories to make the rifles look like battle weapons rather than the function of the weapons themselves.

Buy silver and gold as well as weapons and ammo and hide them for later use….see, this is exactly what the founders were afraid of when they insisted the populace stay armed….as a protection against an overreaching out of control government

I would go with a good semi auto sup machine gun like the P-90
for close range combat and after the ban you can still buy a 30alt 6 for your long range shooting needs

  15. Chuck G

    Not a bad idea.

  16. LeeCee

Why do you need one? Planning on committing mass murder?

  17. Obama's Spiritual Advisor

Probably a good idea, yes. Don’t forget the ammo.

Why do you need an assault rifle? Are you truly afraid that you’ll need to use it? Are you more likely to kill your attacker than a loved one?
