Should people who profit from the manufacture and sales of “military” weapons feel “guilty” about…

…all the people who are killed by them? And inversely, should the people "saved" from death by the presence of "military" weapons feel "grateful" for it?

I have given a gun to a friend. He shoots a bad guy that was trying to harm him. do I feel bad?
Let me look deep down inside myself here……………nope!
are others happy that the bad guy can’t hurt them anymore? Yep.
Is there something wrong with this?
Sorry, can’t find a single thing wrong with this scenario.

mighty good question. I’m sure you’ll get heated discussion from people representing both sides.

That is an individual decision. Whether or not anyone does feel guilt or gratitude is not the concern of others.

since they are already making weapons then obviously they don’t feel guilty about making them. and people saved by military weapons are threatened by them in the first place. don’t forget Iraq’s military weapons came from the US when they were fighting Iran. military weapons are not a backyard business they are made by companies that have ties to different governments.

i think so but then again i think some are proud because they feel like they are supporting the troops in some way or another. i don’t think war is something to be proud of. since god was around there have been wars and till the end of man i think there will be more to come. i don’t think war is anything someone wants and if it is then they are fucking dumb ass.

Don’t you know it is impolite to "should" all over people?

Guilt does not soften lead.
What does it mater if those selling weapons feel guilty,
when those using them do not?

No, and yes.
Nor should the people who make the uniforms, automobiles, food, or on-base services for the military.

I don’t care about the ‘philosophy’ of it..landmines are landmines..Oh,that kid just saved my own legs..I am a fascist on this subject.. and every profiteer of any country or corporate interest will receive what we call "The Long Bay Invasion."..all subjects will be caught and have a greased PVC pipe inserted into their rectum to a decent depth..then barbed wire introduced into the pipe..to a decent depth and then the piping removed very slowly…They then will be fed a meal containing many forms of beans…They will then be shown videos of atrocities caused by such weapons..I’m sorry.. I just don’t care for them and their ilk.
