No, I support the NRA but their opposition to this bill is ludicrous. Why would they want anybody who is suspected of having terrorist connections to buy guns? If they want to make themselves look better, they better support this bill.

What terrorists??? Are you talking about the guys that look foreign, or the militias and anti government groups that have existed for years in our country?
Fear is a very powerful thing…

The NRA is defending the right of law-abiding Americans
If you don’t support them, you are with the terrorists.

What a load of crap! The most patriotic organization around is the NRA. What "military style" guns are you talking about? You have no idea what you are saying, just parroting some left wing loser.

Uh, terrorists can purchase those guns in their own country, bring them into Mexico, and then sneak them across the border with little trouble. Terrorist and criminals will be willing to purchase guns illegally anyway, the only people you will be affecting by putting any type of ban on guns is the law-abiding citizen. So, should the dems get their way in disarming every law-abiding citizen so that they cannot defend themselves against the terrorists and criminals who have guns illegally?

The type that your talking about are coming over the Border from Mexico (AK-47′s full auto) and also coming in thru sea container from China. Drug gangs don’t buy their guns at Cabelas or Gander Mountain

So Mr. anti-gun nut, here’s an idea for ya…
Put a sign in your front yard stating, "The occupants of this house are UNARMED.
Might be wise to verify your insurance, update your will, and put 9-1-1 on speed-dial.

You are insane

why not, those people need to be able to defend themselves against overly aggressive border guards.

You’re barking up the wrong tree captain child. You have no idea what you’re talking about. The NRA has NOTHING to do with terrorist buying guns in the US. If they are being bought in the US they are buying them from illegal gun dealers like maybe yourself.

The NRA doesn’t want terrorists to have weapons. The NRA doesn’t want people who are on "suspect list" to be denied the right to buy weapon if they can otherwise pass the criminal background check.
You read practically all the time where a someone (usually a child) is denied boarding a flight due to the name being on a terrorist watch list. What could a 2 yr old have done to be on a terror watch list?
It would be the same with a terror suspect list, someone who has done nothing would be denied their constitutional as a result of more restrictions on law abiding citizens.

If thats true it doesnt suprise me. The Not Responsible Organization are a bunch of gun huggers.

With unsecured borders do you really think that we are going to keep out full-auto weapons that are made in Europe and Asia?
Besides the weapon of choice of terrorists are bombs of various types. The Kennedy Plot really point this out.

The NRA should be disbanded immediately without fuss or fanfare. Just close them down before they sink us below the waves. Take all guns away from gangs and others who do not need them. Make it next to impossible to buy a gun. No more automatic weapons. A Carbine should be the fastest gun that one can buy. A gun may be sold to a person who presents a straightforward document proving he.she is honest, no arrests, good job, educated, then after a very tight and tough search they can have a gun, but not before.
