Should we ban women in the military?
Seriously folks, ever since they started to let the weaker sex into the military we have not been able to win a war. We did great in WW1 and WW2. But after that once they started to let more and more girls in, we have not done so well. Look at the military right now, bogged down by a bunch of 3rd world country heathens with home made bombs and 20 year old rifles.
Who else is with me on this? Our military has gone soft becuase of all the women in its ranks.

I for one HAVE served and I would say they should be banned unless they can meet the male standards and the same would be expected of women, IE no sitting around and letting the men do everything, no pregnancies or any other bullshit females get away with.
Hmm… a few thumbs down. I guess some people just aren’t ok with expecting from a woman what is expected from a man when they’re recieving the same pay and benefits.

We did well in WWII because it was the last clear, truly righteous cause we fought for.

Have you seen the weapons that these savages are carrying? thanks to many people buying fake handbags and the lot, funding these terrorist activites, many of these criminals are buying more sophisticated weapons than you care to think.

women were allowed in the military in WW2. my grandma was in the Navy. and its not because of the women its because of the generals and leaders. im gonna have to say keep the women in the military. plus some of the women in the military make the men look like little b*tches
February 16th, 2010 at 1:58 am
Are you in the military? Some of us are tougher than alot of you males. Trust me! You haven’t seen us in action.
February 16th, 2010 at 1:58 am
All offence intended, old_one_eye isn’t very smart. As i’m sure you’ve never been in the military, i’ll just say this.
Women are not to blame for current military positions of any countries. The current problem with the allied military position is that were using a conventional military to fight a non-conventional enemy.

man you are rewriting history. I dont think there were any girls in Vietnam or Korea.
February 16th, 2010 at 1:58 am
No we should NOT ban women from the military.
Women can serve just as well as men.
What always bothered me was the women in the military who said things like " I deserve the same opportunities as men, but we shouldn’t have to go into combat"
Come one come all, no matter your race, sex, religion, or even sexual preference, if you expect equal treatment expect equal work and responsibility.
Many countries have had women serving in combat roles for a long time and they have served as well as their male counterparts.

This is almost the funniest question I have ever seen.
Not only my dad who served in WW2 and most of my relatives always talk about the female WACS and etc that they met as helping them thru the worst time of their lives.
Ask a Vietnam vet about the nurse that held their hand.
A military nurse saved my life when I was in the Service. Her name was Leslie Waters.

You are the lonely moron to think this way. Since you are probably a Jr. High school dropout, you didn’t learn the roles the women had during that era. Don’t be hating because you refuse to accept that women are capable of doing things just as well as men do, and 1 of these days, you will thank a woman for saving your life, but since you are an egotistical moron, I hope you can change your thoughts and views, but I seriously doubt that.

WWII lasted much longer than the entire War on Terrorism has. Back then we were fighting a real Army who didn’t hide amongst the population and plant only road side bombs. WWII had thousands more casualties than Afghanistan and Iraq combined. It is a different world today, and I believe that to compare both wars and associate its success or failure with the fact that we now have more women in our ranks is wrong. The military knows what it is doing.

I don’t agree with the rest of your rant, but I do believe that women shouldn’t be allowed in the military. Sorry ladies, theres a place for everyone and the military isn’t your place.

If any thing I wouldn’t blame females for making the military weak. I would have to blame our politicians, the soldiers are only the pons of the board game of war. They’ve been trained to follow rules from the government. So you need to get your facts straight before you try to insult the opposite sex.

I say no unless we send them to the front lines like men are. I served and they get away with more and are held to less physical standards which makes sense but doesn’t help anyone when you need to carry out a soldier. The reason why we’re getting our ass’ kicked by IED’s and antique weapons. Lack of technology (which is finally coming up to speed) and lack of common sense. A humvee even fully armored doesn’t provide much protection for a soldier. Moderately armored track vehicles like troop carriers would make more sense in protecting our soldiers. . Not to mention Iran is giving them better IED’s that are set off by remote and are formed to slice through armor. It don’t matter really who is on the front line as long as they can get the job done

yep, your right, the military has gone soft but it has to do with too much PC, but i must say something in the women’s defense, this does not go for all but, i have heard some of the most foul things come out of these women’s mouths, but i guess that’s because these women i have seen come from low life families or they just don’t know how to act like a lady in their off time. but you are right! the military has gotten soft.

United States
The Woman’s Army Auxiliary Corps was established in the United States in 1941. However, political pressures stalled the waylaid attempts to create more roles for women in the American Armed Forces. Women saw combat during World War II, firstly as nurses in the Pearl Harbor attacks on 7 December 1941. The Woman’s Naval Reserve and Marine Corps Women’s Reserve were also created during this conflict. In July 1943 a bill was signed removing ‘auxiliary’ from the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps, making it an official part of the regular army. In 1944 WAC’s arrived in the Pacific and landed in Normandy on D-Day. During the war, 67 Army nurses and 16 Navy nurses were captured and spent three years as Japanese prisoners of war. There were 350,000 American women who served during World War Two and 16 were killed in action; in total, they gained over 1,500 medals, citations and commendations.
After World War Two, demobilisation led to the vast majority of serving women being returned to civilian life. Law 625, The Women’s Armed Services Act of 1948, was signed by President Truman, allowing women to serve in the armed forces in fully integrated units during peace time, with only the WAC remaining a separate female unit. During the Korean War of 1950–1953 many women served in the Mobile Army Surgical Hospitals, with women serving in Korea numbering 120,000 during the conflict.
Records regarding American women serving in the Vietnam War are vague. However, it is recorded that 600 women served in the country as part of the Air Force, along with 500 members of the WAC, and over 6000 medical personnel and support staff.
America’s involvement in Grenada in 1983 saw over 200 women serving; however, none of these took part in direct combat. Some women, such as Lt Col Eileen Collins or Lt Celeste Hayes, flew transport aircraft carrying wounded or assault teams, however they were not deemed to have been in direct combat. Several hundred women also took part in operations in Panama in 1989, though again in non-combat roles.
The 1991 Gulf War proved to be the pivotal time for the role of women in the American Armed forces to come to the attention of the world media. A senior woman pilot at the time, Colonel Kelly Hamilton, commented that "[t]he conflict was an awakening for the people in the US. They suddenly realised there were a lot of women in the military." Over 40,000 women served in almost every role the armed forces had to offer. However, while many came under fire, they were not permitted to participate in deliberate ground engagements. Despite this, there are many reports of women engaging enemy forces during the conflict [3].
From 2005, the first all female C-130 Hercules crew to serve a combat mission for the U.S. Air Force.Today, women can serve on American combat ships, to include command. However women are not permitted to serve on submarines or to participate in special forces programs such as Navy Seals. Women are barred from serving in Infantry, Special Operations, Artillery, Armour, and Forward Air Defence. Women can fly military aircraft, but make up 2% of all pilots in the US military. So far the position closest to combat open to women in the U.S. Army are in the Military Police, where women man machine-guns on armoured Humvees, guarding truck convoys. Although Army regulations bar women from infantry assignments, some female MPs are detailed to accompany male infantry units to handle search and interrogation of Iraqi suspects

If you were smart enough to actually look at this with some common sense…you would realize that males have just as much right to join as women do…we all have the same opportunities…so NO women have not made out military "go soft".
February 16th, 2010 at 1:58 am
Weaker my ass… First off get your facts right. Women are not aloud to hold an artillery or infantry MOS. In case you don’t know what a MOS is it’s your job in the military. So most of the fighting going on right now is still being done by men. Second if you are wondering why we are still In Iraq here’s your answer. The only war that the US has ever considered a "loss" was Vietnam, that’s because we occupied it not invaded, the same goes for Iraq. Every other war we invaded. Which means, Went in… blew the shit out of everything and left. We never waited around to clean up are mess.

Obvious woman hater.
Women perform many of the jobs back in the USA an else where that free up men for service in the combat units.
Stop being such a sexist troll.
Whats up not enough love from mommy when a little bitty boy??
