So now the U.S. military is issuing guns with New Testament inscriptions on them?

Anybody else had enough of this violation of church & state?
Anyone else tired of our soldiers who represent all world religions being hounded and harassed by Christians?
This is illegal and shameful, and this gun company should be fired. Also, the weapons need to be removed from military circulation. There is no question it’s a violation of the Constitution.

Well, first of all, there is a US government inspector who is going to bge in more than a little bit of trouble for not catching this. The next thing is that I bet that people at the company and at the Defence Contract Management Agency are carefully going over both the contracts and the specifications for these sights. (Specifically the section that describes ‘identification and marking.’)
Somebody screwed up when this was not caught at the very beginning – but I think that the claims being made by the people pushing Atheism are way overdone.
In fact this article demonstrates the intolerance athiests have for other belief systems.

Correct me if im wrong but doesn’t it say "In God We Trust" on American currency?

Everyone ignore this guy. He has an agenda and it is to attack religion in any way possible.
He also reeks of civilian who has never served; he calls everyone who serves a soldier (he doesn’t understand why this term is incorrect) and doesn’t understand the difference between a manufacture of weapons and the Federal government. I also wonder why his beef is only with Christianity. Guess he doesn’t see the other religions that use their beliefs as cover for flying planes into buildings.
And to your last line, you can’t be tired of anything. You are not in the military. You are safe here in the US with your nondropped nuts. Stop trying to project yourself in to the situation as if you matter or your opinion is important.

not really….our country was founded with Bible verses and our money still says in God we trust. Most of our founding fathers were Christians so its not a big deal to put verses on guns.

I’m a veteran and this sickens me. We are a secular nation. Right now, we are fighting two wars in places where they are so wary of Christian crusades that we have to walk a tightrope, and this does not help!

Yawn, another atheist who demands I respect his beliefs, but he doenst have to respect anyone else’s beliefs. Your kind gets annoying, real fast.

Hey Atheist Go F**K yourself

Umm, the weapon (your term "gun") doesn’t have the inscription, the sight does. (And that can easily be removed if it offends.)
Oh, the company is a private entity, founded by a Christian, and they can pretty much do whatever the hell they want with their products. Simply because they sold them to a government agency doesn’t mean the government is endorsing a religion. Personally, I think it’s funny.

1. This does not violate the Constitutional amendment prohibiting Congress from establishing an official national religion which is the only instance of any "seperation of church and state," a made up phrase that has no Constitutional leg to stand on.
2. You’re not in the military. Shut…up. Pick your battles and focus your unleashed rage on a group that deserves it like all the politicians stealing money from the paychecks of working Americans under the threat of violence and imprisonment.
Enough said.
EDIT: In response to your additional details…please cite the Constitutional paragraph you’re referring to. I look forward to your silence.

Violation of church and state ?
There is no law or part of the constitution that separates church and state.
Just how is anyone being hounded ?
Just how many people actually read the serial number on their weapons sight ?
Even if they did, they wouldn’t know the initials at the end, meant anything.
You secular humanist are making a big deal out of nothing.
