I realize that many soldiers use the m4 or m16 but do they have any red dots or scopes? Or is the specializations only for certain situations or certain military groups.
P.S i dont play video games i want to know certain information to enlist.
i need to know this for safety reasons. i believe todays technology, equipment and specializations could save anybodys life
A red dot will increase your accuracy by a whole lot making the enemy being killed before you. I consider that as being a safe item.

I’m not sure which sniper gun i should use online because they all got good damage (Apart from m21 EBR), range and accuracy on multiplayer but i dunno which one. should i use either a intervention, Barret 50.cal, Wa2000 or M21 EBR?

I really like the ACR because of its amazing accuracy, but I find that it doesn’t deal out as much damage as some of the other assault rifles. So, what rifle is the best all around, with good accuracy and damage.

I am a graduate student from India attending graduate school in the US. Part of my research involves new methods of computer and gyroscopic stabilization and aiming mechanisms for devices that need to sit absolutely still while in operation, and devices that must aim at small targets from a distance.
I have also done research on my own. I am trying to develop a stabilized platform for military applications, but I need more funding for the production and research. I am close to building a device that could stabilize and auto-aim a firearm for any purpose. For example, this device will guide a fired round to its targert with far greater accuracy than any human marksman, and can be pre-set to fire at a certain time or a certain number of times at the same target, or can be programmed to search for different targets. It will weigh as little as 5kg.
How can I contact a US military procurement officer for information on sales contracts and acquisitions? This is a good product.

I admit I am not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to firearms, so please bear with me here.
a) I recently posted a question about the 5.56 vs. 7.62 round when it comes to accuracy and distance in "sniper" rifles, used by military forces around the world. I received many helpful answers stating the 7.62 round was better for range, power, and accuracy. So I was wondering why on Future weapons, which I enjoy, whenever new assault rifles are discussed, the 5.56 round is always claimed to have better range and accuracy over the 7.62, which totally conflicts with what I was told on my previous post. Does it have to do with barrel length? This has been bugging me since that post, so thanks ahead of time for answers.
b) if the 7.62 is better in assault rifles too, why would the military channel say otherwise? why would the U.S. military use the 5.56 in their assault and "sniper" rifles?
b) how does the 10mm compare up against popular loads such as 9mm, 357 mag, and .45?

I’m looking to buy an airsoft sniper rifle. I’ve been into my spring P228 for a while, and I need something to combat my friend’s spring AK. The P228 doesn’t really have enough range. Also, links to recommended retailers would be appreciated. 0 or less. I need decent FPS and accuracy.
EDIT:My absolute price cap is 225 including shipping. I’d prefer it to come with a scope, but I can always buy it seperately.

well last year i heard them say something about in 2008 finally replacing the M4. then they came up with teh XM8 but that got canceled….but i havent heard anything about teh FN SCAR being canceled..do you guys really think the FN scar is gunna take the place of the M4 and M16???? i REALLY hope they dont replace the M16 ill be really dissapointed…do whatever u want with the M4 but not the M16 lol
so does anyone know the REAL story behind the replacement situation?
also i heard theyre replacing the M249 with this thing called MK46..is that true also?

gave i highly disagree but u show a good point. althrough the AK 47 is HIGHLY powerful, it lacks accuracy and the violent recoil throws it off, u would not win a distant firefight in 300 meters and over if u had an AK. that is why our military rejected the AK in the first place..way innacurate

I honestly get my information from video games, which can’t always be trusted…
So the guns I want to know about are the M200, any of the Barret’s, the GOL Magnum, and the DSR-1.
If the guns share qualities, what makes one better than the other? For example, I’m assuming the M200 is popular because of it’s accuracy, what better attribute does the GOL Magnum have.

I would like suggestions for a military surplus AND non-military rifles

1) cost 1K-2K (including fairly good scope/red dot)
2) great accuracy

In everyones opinion, what is the best sniper rifle… I mean, I am trying to figure out what it is ! I have used all of them, and I dont really look for how far they shoot or the accuracy, I just want one with the attachments, to shoot and kill quickly…. I want my enemy to die fast ! haha so what sniper rifle should I use ? I will use bling, and I am pretty good with the thermal scope, so what would the other attachment be ? LMK !
