What with all this talk about the black market of firearms to Mexicoo about?

August 1st, 2010 by eranio

Frankly I am not sure if this is true or not. I just think its an excuse used by the democrats to enact more gun control. Why? Well saying America is the only place to get weapons is down right arrogant. If that is true, where are all these fire arms in Iraq coming from used to shoot US military personnel? Afghanistan? Hopefully not the US, that just be twisted. There been reports Mexican army personnel with their issues weapons are attacking border agents. Hell a Colombian cartel once attempted to buy a cold war era nuclear submarine from Russia. Is there american gun dealers getting in on this submarine action too? Silly statement but its using the same logic. So conclusion? That America is not the only place to buy guns and weapons. So if the idea that maybe, JUST MAYBE these cartels are getting weapons from more then one country, then banning weapons in the US probably will not disarm the cartels one bit. So how we going to disarm them?
Ineffective and costly. What would happen to the cartels ability to arm them selfs if they suddenly did not have the money to buy them???

Why is it not a declaration of war when illegals with guns an military grade spy equipment?

July 2nd, 2010 by eranio

are encamped in AZ. These people have threatened the Nogales, AZ police department and this is OK by the President. Gen McCrystal needs a new port. Perhaps we should call upon him to secure our borders. He has done a good job in Afghanistan why not turn the job over to someone who knows how to fight a war. Part of AZ is off limits to american, a park that the taxpayers are paying for, and people are warned to stay away because an american visitor can not be protected. What a crock of sh– this entire thing is.

US Military, how do you feel about soldiers with unloaded guns in a war zone?

May 30th, 2010 by eranio

Commanders have ordered a U.S. military unit in Afghanistan to patrol with unloaded weapons, according to a source in Afghanistan.

Thanks for the answers. Can you tell me what the point is for doing this?

Why did the police do this to a military man?

April 23rd, 2010 by eranio

Army Reservist Killed By Police After Standoff.
Leonardtown, MD A man who authorities believe was an Army Reservist just called up to serve in Iraq has been fatally shot by police in a standoff that began on Christmas.

St. Mary’s County Sheriff Tim Cameron says 28-year-old James Emerick Dean, in the military, was shot by a sheriff’s deputy Tuesday afternoon. The sheriff says Dean had pointed a gun at a tactical team that was about to use gas to try to force him out of his father’s house. The military man did not want to go back to Iraq. He served in Iraq in the year 2005.
The family told authorities that Dean was despondent about recent orders for him to go to Iraq. Dean had returned in 2005 from a year and a half long tour in Afghanistan.

When you join the military, are you able to pick what gun you want to use?

April 7th, 2010 by eranio

For example: I see pictures of soldiers with m14s in the US military in Iraq/Afghanistan. My main point is; how are they qualified to use and obtain those weapons instead of the standard issue m16/m4

When visited by the US president, are uniformed military members allowed to carry their weapons?

March 23rd, 2010 by eranio

I deployed to Iraq twice w/ 3ID and if I was more than an arm’s length from my weapon, I received a reaming. I’ve never seen any armed military with weapons behind the president when he’s in Iraq/Afghanistan. Do they lock them up? Where? How close is the nearest armed military member?
@dogsofwar: 103rd MI for OIF1 (Baghdad/Fallujah) and then 1st BTB for OIF3 (Tikrit/Samarra).
@ Joseph: I know the SS has responsibility for the POTUS, but I’m curious if they trust the military enough to let them be that close to him with a weapon, loaded or not.

Can an ex-marine with special ops and sniper experience, own grenades and other military issued firearms?

February 24th, 2010 by eranio

This is re-posted for a reason, so please keep your negative comments to yourself.
This is a RE-POST from another Category…..

Need to know for legal reasons, my niece’s boyfriend is a wacko who served in Afghanistan, who has beat her, poured gas on her, aimed a military issued sniper rifle at her, and constantly threatens to blow up the house she lives in. So, is the weapons illegal, and if so, who do I contact when I do not know his last name. BTW, I have called 911 myself and local law enforcement doesn’t have the power to do anything just going by someone’s word. And, doubt seriously she will talk against him.

Who exactly would I call or contact about this? She is scared and confused, and I believe that she is scared to let someone know, but apparently the sheriff’s dept. already knows something because they mentioned it to me. They said that they cannot go by hearsay, with that said I understand. Isn’t there another source to contact?

Should President Obama abandon the military?

February 6th, 2010 by eranio

The United States doesn’t need an army, navy, marines, coast guard, etc, etc. It’s just like the 2nd Amendment — these things were implemented by the Founding Fathers over 2 centuries ago! Back then a military and guns were needed, but today we have no need for either.

Think of the money that could be saved — bring home every soldier worldwide! No more Bush wars, Afghanistan wars, etc. The money saved could be used to provide free health care and help us fight global warming.

President Obama is bringing the change that WE THE PEOPLE elected!

Poll – Military Assault rifles?

January 31st, 2010 by eranio

in your opinion, which would the american military have more luck with?

M4 – the standard issue as of now. usually a fine gun in forest conditions but prone to frequent jamming in the sandy desert

AK-47 – every terrorist’s favorite. i have seen people in afghanistan dig up a couple from over ten years ago, pour a little motor-oil on it and put 500 rounds though it without a problem. somewhat bulky though but parts are dirt cheap, plentiful, and easy to repair.

please state which you think and why.
i say the AK-47 because, first off, its idiot proof. all of the mechanisms are made out of stamped metal, the barrel is chromium lined and there is just a level for a fire selector. also, it fires the heavy 7.62 cartridge, which is capable of punching through the ceramic armor plating on an average infantry man, plus the wall behind him. and the cartridge itself is much more compatible with self-disintigrating rounds, HE, and tungsten core armor piercing. And the ammunition is more widley available on the modern battlefield if the soldiers were to be cut-off from supplies
i do agree with all of you saying that the M4 is more accurate. its just that to get that accuracy, you have to trade off ease of maintainence. it requires many specialised tool, brushes and picks whilst the AK-47 only needs at most a paint brush and a bootlace

What would be the best assault rifle to use in a country like Afghanistan?

January 29th, 2010 by eranio

it cant be a sniper.
carbines are included.
im looking for a gun that would have good accuracy, it has to be reliable, etc.

i think a gun like steyr aug is the best
a gun i think is bad is the m16 because Afghanistan is a dirty country.

Some factors are that the gun may not be cleaned that often and that it would be used for more than a whole day.

No smoking in Obama’s military. Will the Dems ever have no guns in the military, too?

January 27th, 2010 by eranio

Amusing that the Dems would deny smoking to soldiers that have their lives on the line every moment they are in combat zones. Yet President Obama still smokes cigarettes. Is it elite vs not elite?

Now a proposal to make the forces smoke-free is drawing strong reactions from troops who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, even though the Pentagon itself says any ban is a long way off.

The troops’ fears — and, in some cases, hopes — were triggered by a study commissioned by the Pentagon and the Veterans Affairs Department that recommends moving toward a tobacco-free military, perhaps in about 20 years.

What do you think of the major changes in military strategy Obama is contemplating…?

January 9th, 2010 by eranio

regarding the conduct of war in Iraq and Afghanistan long before his planned visit to the region and talks with the top military leaders. Has he ever shot a rifle before, much less discuss military tactics?

Could this be the reason obama wants to stop funding of military weapons?

January 8th, 2010 by eranio

osama bin Laden’s ‘letter to America’

(b) The American people are the ones who pay the taxes which fund the planes that bomb us in Afghanistan, the tanks that strike and destroy our homes in Palestine, the armies which occupy our lands in the Arabian Gulf, and the fleets which ensure the blockade of Iraq. These tax dollars are given to Israel for it to continue to attack us and penetrate our lands. So the American people are the ones who fund the attacks against us, and they are the ones who oversee the expenditure of these monies in the way they wish, through their elected candidates.

(d) The American people are the ones who employ both their men and their women in the American Forces which attack us.

(e) This is why the American people cannot be not innocent of all the crimes committed by the Americans and Jews against us.

OSAMA BIN LADEN ALSO WARNED – "AMERICA WILL TURN BLACK
THEN IS WHEN WE WILL SEE YOUR DEVISTATION"

brown – i noticed the same thing but i think it was translated

When will we start using the Chinese military for USA operations since the wages and costs are less expensive?

December 25th, 2009 by eranio

I can imagine the military union now…

WAAHH guns are evil and should be banned…

WAAHH these boots are heavy, am I entitled to 10 minute break now?

WAAHH the work conditions in Afghanistan are against the law, we need flat screen tv’s, air conditionted deserts, and a water break every 10 minutes!
Now that an Obama-military union is starting to infest America, should we outsource the military war operations before liberals in the military jeapordize our security?

Should we arm U.S. military servicemen with full power rifles?

December 11th, 2009 by eranio

I hear complaints from soldiers about the effectiveness of the .223/5.56 x 45mm round. Some of them tell me that if given a choice, they would rather use a .308 battle rifle. If we armed all of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan with full powered rifles chambered in 30-06 or .308 would our odds of winning the war improve?

A full powered cartridge is way more deadly than a .223.

I have had military training in firearms, i have served in Desert Storm and Afghanistan?

November 15th, 2009 by eranio

I also have a concealed carry permit, and several registered pistols and other firearms. Now why on earth do others want to stand up and say that i shouldnt be allowed to own a weapon or carry a gun? If i am responsible enough to carry a gun in Iraq or Afghanistan, why cant i carry one in America?

How can you defeat an ideology with military weapons?

November 8th, 2009 by eranio

Military campaigns have only been successful against nation-states, not against ideas. For example, the Japaneese defeated the Philippines government in WWII, as did the NAZIs in France, but the ideology of freedom caused each agressor to eventually lose. The Russians learned this lesson in Afghanistan, and the US learned it in Vietnam. So why are we trying to once again tilt at windmills in Iraq? You cannot impose Democracy at gunpoint.
