Why do cosmetic firearm features scare liberals?

October 18th, 2010 by eranio

I don’t agree with gun bans but why would you ban military style "assault weapons" before doing away with legally available automatic weapons, silencers, and heavy machine guns?
"freedomcitizen" I was talking about class three licensed weapons, and people get their panties in a twist over a 9mm pistol that holds 15 rounds.

Were the six terrorists planning to attack Ft. Dix training with automatic weapons or paintball guns?

July 27th, 2010 by eranio

I’m confused about the "news facts" presented. Apparently they were training with "automatic weapons", but they were also trying to buy automatic weapons. So which was it? Did they have automatic weapons or not?
Certainly all terrorists are evil and should be sent to jail. Probably these guys were planning to cause some major damage at Ft. Dix. But, have you ever been to Ft. Dix? It is a large military installation with lots of highly trained military people, who are armed with real weapons. How did these bozo idiot terrorists think they could cause major damage to Ft. Dix? Now it seems that maybe they didn’t even have automatic weapons (or did they) after all. The whole incident will make the FBI look ridiculous if there isn’t more solid information forthcoming.
Yes. The FBI is NOT ridiculous for trying to stop terrorists. But all of this is looking a little shaky, alsmost as if it is yet another act of "mass distraction" on the part of our government. I still believe that the FBI is highly professional, and that they must have some additional information they are not giving us at this time.

Why does the military want to enlist felons?

July 14th, 2010 by eranio

I just read in my local newspaper a couple of days ago that either congress or the senate (can’t remember which) voted to lift a ban on the military enlisting people convicted of arson and assault with a deadly weapon. I know the military is desperate to recruit more people; but do they really want people like that carrying around automatic weapons and having the freedom to possibly shoot innocent civilians.
I guess we should recruit rapists, serial killers, and pedophiles so they can fulfill their desires somewhere else.
Maybe we should reinstate the draft so that most Americans can share the burden of defending the freedoms we all enjoy so much.
An amendment to the 2008 defense appropriations bill that would ban the military from enlisting recruits with felonies such as aggravated assault and arson. It’s the military recruitment standards bill (HR 3222). Both Republican senators from Texas (John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison) voted yes to kill the amendment. A vote of 53-41 allowed the military to relax its standards to meet recruitment goals.

Does any superpatriot/wannabe revolutionary think they can actually take on the government and the US military?

July 9th, 2010 by eranio

Radical idiots from both sides of the spectrum are now issuing death threats to Congressmen, taking part in vandalism, and there are many that are taking about an impending revolution, which makes me laugh. First off, these heroes have relatively few supporters, while the military has millions available for service. Next, they have crappy rifles and Ford trucks, while the US military has automatic weapons, tanks, missiles, rocket launchers, helicopters, etc. In addition, these aren’t the Patriots of the American Revolution (those men were actually led by intelligent leaders and had the support of foreign powers) or even the Confederates of the Civil War (their leaders were also pretty intelligent and they too had some foreign support because of the cotton industry in the South).

Here is the best case scenario for any rebellion: they have uprising in several cities around the US before they are arrested by the cops and are thrown in prison for at least trying to instigate anarchy and endangering the lives of other Americans and the movements break apart because they realize they are losers and wouldn’t last a second if they were standing in front of an Abrams tank.

I don’t understand all of this violent rubbish coming from anonymous weirdos on the internet or on the phone; they don’t seem to have the balls to put themselves in public, unlike the Patriots of the Revolution. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington actually had real grievances, along with the other revolutionaries of the time, and they sure as hell weren’t afraid to be public about their beliefs and didn’t threaten other people.
Ron Paul doesn’t even want to associate himself with those people. He is actually a real patriot who doesn’t threaten people like a coward.
Brothers in the Civil War fought against each other, so I am pretty sure there are some servicemen who would take up arms to fight idiots who are threatening their families and innocent Americans.
Okay, I have nothing against the Tea Party movement in itself, as long as it remains peaceful. If its members behave and don’t use violence, they will become more influential.

Is it legal to hunt deer with an assault rifle?

June 19th, 2010 by eranio

Or any other gun of that sort. Like, is it legal to hunt with an m-16 or something? What about a handgun?
Haha, yeah I know it would be unwise. I’m just curious.
Fellers,
I know an M16 isn’t an assault rifle. I was just asking if assault rifles are legal, and if M16s and other fully-automatic weapons would be legal too.

Why can't republicans be reasonable about guns?

June 17th, 2010 by eranio

I have no problem with people keeping guns in their home. What I have a problem with is simi/fully automatic weapons. They have no use for society whatsoever! My father who was a military vet once told me "those weapons are for one thing and one thing only, mass murder!".

And most police departments agree with me. They don’t want people to have these guns either. And republicans love their police departments right

Firearms Collectors Permit in New York State?

January 25th, 2010 by eranio

Does anyone know if federal or New York state law allows for a permit for the possession of firearms which are normally considered prohibited, if they can be considered historical artifacts? Example: Fully automatic weapons are prohibited except to law enforcement & military; can someone own a WWI or WWII machine gun in full working order, based on historical significance?

Does the military still attach bayonets to their weapons?

December 3rd, 2009 by eranio

Ok, so I’ve been playing Gears of War lately and I was wondering why the Lancer still had a bayonet on it. I know the chainsaw was added to cut through Locust skin, but would a future military still use bayonets?

So the real question is: Does the US Military still attach bayonets to its rifles and automatic weapons?
