How can I get sound recordings of the military (esp. fighter jets taking off, marching, soldiers and sailors speaking, and weapons firing)? I’m sure that one way would be to naval ships, bases, and even to where there is fighting going on, but I’m hoping for something a little more cost affective (and a little less dangerous).

Seems funny that a Company In Canada is making such things as Bomb Shells and designing Fighter Jets and Bombers for the American Military But yet Canada Claims they do not have the advanced weapons the US has ,,,,,
I am sure the Taliban and other Enemies of the US are loving this post
And why wouldn’t Canada have the same military Power as the US have ,,,,

There are many Christians in the military, just read their dog tags. I didn’t know how the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment applies to Christians who are police officers who kill criminals in the line of duty. Or soldiers in the military who kill the enemy with a rifle or fly fighter jets that drop bombs on other nations.
Can someone tell me how this commandment applies to them? Is there a bible verse that explains it and if so, what and where is it?

So do Catholics not believe in killing in anyway?

Yes I understand what you mean but I’ve also been told by Marines and cops that they have a saying, "You don’t have to kill anyone, but you have to bring your gun with you."

I find it interesting how you compare a fireman risking his life and dying in a burning building comparable to a police officer who empties an entire round into a drug dealer. Or a pregnant woman who wants nothing more than to have a child of her own being compared to some Kamikaze pilot dropping a nuke on an entire city.

Like 1000 tanks 75 jets 150 helicopters 750,000 machine guns . Just what kind of military are we going to leave in Iraq so they can hold off the rest of the middle east . The same kind we shipped them in the early 80′s . Fighter jets ,tanks ,transports, copters ,guns ,ammo ,grenade ,launchers ,explosives mines ,communications equipment and all supplied by our tax dollars .
Some of this stuff is being used to kill our soldiers .
Is Bush just Stupid or what .
You can not win an urban war with ground troops .
You must bomb the people into complete surrender .
They should walk up and ask how high when our soldiers show up . We should find guns all over the streets rusting away .
We need to carpet bomb Iraq into complete submission .

Seriously, if it’s from an American corporation, you can pretty much depend on it being cheaply made, prone to failure and overpriced. Whether it’s movies, movie theaters, video game systems like the Xbox, cars, commercial jets, prescription drugs, fighter jets, military tanks, computers or assault rifles, you can depend on it being complete garbage. Now, that’s not because we lack the knowledge and expertise to make them properly, it’s because the typical corporate American mentality is that of speed and profits above all else.
Why not make a better product and have repeat customers for life? I won’t buy any other car than a Honda, and there are other people who do the same with Toyota. I’ve never regretted it. My experience with American cars is that they’re all garbage. My dad had a Chrysler van from 1994, and bought another one in 2004. The interior electronics, save for some styling changes, were basically the same and horribly dated! The car looked lovely from the outside but had 1980′s electronics in it and felt cheap!
I know all corporations can be bad when they want to be, but why are American companies so stupid and rotten?

does anyone know if they can make rifle sized laser gun to shoot people. if so how will that change warfare. if they have all these hi tech satillites why do they send recon units. please be serious
since we have large lasers today that can vaporize people, how come we aren’t using them in iraq. put them on fighter jets or helicopters

I’ll rank them from least combat effective to most and you just draw the line or voice your opinion. I’m looking to get a concensus of see what people think on this. Preferably draw the line between two weapon types. I’ve left the list BROAD. Don’t take it as a joke please.
no weapons should be legal for the US military to own, Bottle Rockets, BB guns, Bow & arrows, medeival throwing devices like catapults and trebuchets, low powered rifles(22), shotguns, semi-automatic handguns, high powered hunting rifles, sub-machine guns, assualt rifles/sniper rifles, machine guns, hand grenades, RPG’s, combat vehicles like tanks, scud missiles, fighter jets, chemical and biolotical weapons, nuclear warheads, ultra small and powerful but not yet existent antimatter bombs, or there should be no laws against US military possession of weapons…
You may also argue that I have them in the wrong order if your line can’t be drawn.
