Is there any way of being employed part time in the military and recieving training in parachuting and firearms etc, whilst at an american university and studdying for a degree?
For example, Glocks appear to be popular with local law enforcement, LAPD SWAT uses Kimber…
I would like to know the manufacturer, how long often firearms are replaced and what division you are referencing. Thanks!
im thinking of joining the canadian armed forces. i know all of the physical requirements (2.4km in 12 minutes, etc) but im wondering how accurate a group do you need to have with the standard c7 rifle. i have hunted and shot a number of firearms but never an ar-15 style weapon.
All I know is Switzerland and Ireland; are they any others?
I know they are banned in the UK (thankfully; only the military and the government should have guns)
In late 2007 the European Union lawmakers adopted a legislative report to tighten gun control laws and establish an extensive firearms database. Passed with overwhelming backing, the tough new gun control rules were "hoped to prevent Europe from becoming a gun-friendly culture like the United States".
Ive been laid off now for six months and havent been able to find any work. The only people i know that are always hiring is the military. In 1999 I got an OTH from the army shortly after basic. The OTH has in no way affected whom Ive worked for, my ability to purchase and carry firearms. Will it affect me if I would be interested in rejoining a branch of the military? Thanks.
Nuclear weapons are our most important defense assets. If it becomes necesssary to use them, it is comforting to know that both Sen. McCain (military) and Gov. Palin (NRA, hunter) have extensive experience with firearms/weapons.
Obama hasn’t even shot a spitball, I’ll wager!
Just now there was a boy asking if he had to have gcses to get a job, or what jobs he could do without gcses; said he was interested in firearms and the military, called himself dumb. He had some rubbish answers. I looked it up for him and now I’ve lost the question! If you see this, you CAN join the armed forces without qualifications, and they train you. That’s always been a feature of their recruitment ads. So for instance the person who said you had to have a driving licence to be a driver in the army is wrong; you can join the army and then get your driving qualification. Look on www.army.mod.uk There’s also some Connexions information sheets on all the armed forces and the police. If you don’t know about Connexions, google it, it might be quite useful.
ATM – oh thanks!!
I am an Air Force ROTC cadet/ college student and I am interested in learning how to shoot… the right way. I’m very familiar with firearms as I have grown up doing lots of hunting but I have never received any formal instruction or lessons.
I have an old Colt AR-15 at my disposal I want to know the best ways to learn about it, train with it, and learn the proper range procedures in hopes I can use it to practice qualifying with it as if it were an M-4. As I am in the Air Force, people know tons about air power but not really anything about marksmanship.
Would it be best if I purchased Marine Corps and Army marksmanship manuals and a Colt factory manual and just try to figure it our on my own or would it be better or even ethical to hire one of the NCOs from the local Marine garrison to tutor me at the local rifle range in his free time? I know the AR-15 is the civilian precursor to the modern M-4, but how similar are they mechanically and performance-wise?
I have never received any formal marksmanship or firearms training EXCEPT for a Hunter Education course.
I’m talking about firearms, I was thinking about it and the browning .50 cal machine gun is all I could come up with.
I am a 6′2 210 lb male 16 year old birthday 8/3/90. I have always admired and had tremendous respect for people in the military. I have trouble with endurance and am overweight but I can be extremely determined and can make decisions under pressure. During school testing I scored in the 99th percentile for English, I am also pretty aggressive. I am a great marksman and have a passion for firearms. I messed up during high school and will have to get my G.E.D. Will this hurt my chance for recruitment? My police record is clean other than 1 arrest when I was 14. The charges were dropped because of an illegal search and seizure. I also have a perscription for Adderall (adhd). No serous medical problems but I do see a psychiatrist but I have always been careful what I say to her. Since I know what I say will be documented and effect the rest of my life.
What service would you recommend for me? And do you think anything listed will keep me from being recruited?
Thank you for your time and opinions.
i was wondering what the title of anyone that did weapons delevelopment in the military would be..iam mainly intersted in firearms. do u know if every branch has there own program or is it all focused in one?
Can cops or military personnel carry their firearms with them when boarding a public airplane?
By this I mean stats and information on the operation of Handguns, Rifles, and Shotguns: Military, Hunting and Citizen Owned. I already know the basics of firearms but would like to learn more about specific guns themselves. And any other books on Firearms would be greatly appreciated if listed! Thank you!
I was watching the bonus stuff on Assault on Precinct 13, and saw the bloke in the van with the M4’s, and P226’s, and thought wow this is my kind of job. But I haven’t got the slightest idea how to get into that line of work. I know a lot about the military, and firearms, etc, so I think this would be a good job for me. I live in England. Please, HELP!
my friend did 8 years active duty(he left because he had a baby and wanted to be with his wife and child more), and is now in the reserves but is about to receive a medical discharge for his PTSD. he, like most if not all military men, likes firearms. hes worried that because of that he wont be allowed to buy any. can he still get them with a discharge for PTSD?
tell me more about the veteran disarmament act. whats that all about?
No joke, i saw on a article that Russian rebels actually made a wide range of firearms from scratch.
I need to know the regulations that govern the company level commander’s discretion on issuing orders to a soldier who owns a firearm off of and away from military installations to have that firearm placed in the custody of the arms room. I currently own a firearm (pistol) and i do not bring it onto military installations nor do i keep it in military housing. The firearm is stored off post at a civilian housing complex with my buddy. This is because the commander refuses to approve the on post registration form, so i keep it at a friends house off post so that i am following the regulation. Now i have been instructed to have it placed in the arms room and that i will not have access to it at all. This does not seem fair. I feel like i am having the firearm stolen from me. He believes that soldiers have no business owning firearms and he will not approve anyone to have one. Does anybody know anything about the legality of this issue??
im a greek and i have no idea what greece uses for infantry weapons. im curious. im not looking for spears back 500 years ago, im talking about firearms.
I live in Colorado and there is a particular outdoor range I like to frequent from time to time to shoot my black powder rifle. I called them once to see what their hours of operations were due to a snow storm we had recently, and I got a recording. The recording said the usual stuff, you know "thank you for calling. we are open from 9am-7pm. " (Here’s the kicker)…"Coming April 2006 we will be allowing fully automatic and silenced firearms on our ranges."
It was my understanding that possessing a fully automatic weapon or a silencer for any type of firearm was only permitted for military Personnel and a select number of law enforcement agents, but totally against the law for any civilian to possess such items.
Can someone please clarify this point for me. Thanks
Growth of these groups subsided in reaction to increased government scrutiny as a result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and disrupted plots, improvements in the economy, and the continued U.S. standing as the preeminent world power. (U//FOUO) The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.
Before I deployed to Iraq out of Ft.Hood I bought a couple of rifles. I am still in Iraq,am active duty. When i get back can i still buy firearms like i used to before i went. To clarify I was able to go to the gun store and show my military ID and orders proving I am stationed in Texas. Is this still the norm for military buyers at gun stores? Do all gun stores do this. Will i be still able to go with my orders and id card and buy firearms?
Whats this i hear about having to get CHL just to buy a handgun? I have no intention on concealed carrying mine. Don’t you just have to be 21 to buy a handgun. I heard of a waiting period now too.
Like you see National guard armories everywhere, are they just a meeting place or are arms their? As for active duty can soldiers ever have access to firearms in off duty times?
I am inquiring as to which firearms for use in the military by infantry currently hold the title as the world’s most expensive.
Examples of assault rifles – http://world.guns.ru/assault/as00-e.htm
Examples of submachine guns – http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg00-e.htm
Examples of handguns – http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg00-e.htm
I am only trying to find the most expensive guns in these three particular categories. They do not have to be found in the above pages, they simply have to have the highest current market value in their respective categories.
Lastly, I do not own a gun presently and am not affiliated with the military or law enforcement agencies. I simply wish to have this information for my own personal reference.
To all people willing to answer this question for me, thank you in advance for your time and cooperation. Have a nice day.
Firearms. How about it’s use in WW2?
ME to! Give me a tommy gun anyday over a M-16. I know the M-16 is the better gun but I like the Tommy gun better.
