I have been looking on the internet and i cannot find anything on how the U.S. military guns are assembled and manufactured. I’m not going to make one but am interested in how they mass produce them to the military. I want to know the step by step process from the materials to the guns formation. no wikipedia or other bullcrap thank you.

I know there is a difference between civilian issued guns and government/military guns. But without a class 3 weapons license what can happen?

i know im just getting my hopes up and it will never happen, but do the chinese have out of date military guns stocked up(like the iron curtain), because supposedly their economy is going to crash in 9-12 months, and if that happens what are the chances of something similar to the cheap iron curtain guns happening again(if their economy goes really bad, like greece)?
also does anyone have any idea of where to get 5.8x42mm chinese ammo?
@eddygordo19: DAMN!!!!!
@Andrews 2.0: the full autos would be brought over in the same way as the ak parts kits, also if the chinese make something for their own county it is supposedly better quality, also i have a chinese sino-soviet sks
george bush banned norinco imports, does that mean if some other chinese place exported it we would be able to get them

I like older mail order/kitchen door guns and older military guns. I just started getting into single shots and older guns. I know what to look at when buying them and how to check to see if there safe to fire. I had my eyes on a Spanish Imperial in .38 Special after handling it, It had way to much play in cylinder didn’t function in SA sometimes and trigger was way to lose and needed parts that would have had to be custom made. I asked what other handguns they had around 0. He said since he knows I have a thing for old guns I would feel like I was at a history convention. I was soon looking at a counter full of old top break revolvers from yester year in .32 S&W and .38 S&W. Most where Iver Johnson/US Revolvers with a one H&R and one S&W. After a few minutes I had a Iver Johnson third model top break in .38 set a side for my dad to pick up on Saturday. I put my the S&W and H&R and a .32 Iver hammerless on my list. Any ways why do people not have and interest or like these guns? I mean all these new tactical guns the have in the show room but if they know you enough you can go in the back room or corner behind the counter and dig threw military rifles. There are great prices like a unissued MAS 36 for 0 and a K-31 for 5 these took a while to get off the shelf I guess just me and a few collectors are interested in them but these AK and AR style rifles along with the new plastic pistol or anything "tacti-cool" flies off the shelf. They have a basement full of older shotguns and rifles that just gather dust down there. I mean I once seen a guy interested in a Winchester 1200 and was offered a Ted Williams 200 for less but he payed the extra money for a Winchester logo and chipped stock. I mean why not give the attention to these old guns they deserve? I’ll admit most of them are out dated but we wouldn’t be where were at with out them. Most of these were every where and highly advertised. You might say single shot shotguns for example are a dime a dozen. I look like each one of those has a different story and unique in there own way. If those guns could talk about there travels and all they saw I could listen day in and out. I see AR rifles and tacti-cool guns as bland and underneath those thirty pounds of accessories there all the same.
Any way what is your personal view on these older/mail order guns? I’m pretty interested to the answers here.

I was wondering if there are gun ranges that allow you to shoot older military guns.(i.e.: M-1 Garand, Thompson, MP40, BAR, etc.) I’m a WWII buff and have wanted to see what these guns are like in a safe and legal manner. TY for input!

Also, give a list of what you think are the best military guns and why they are so good; and list any ways which the guns you think are the best could be improved.

Gun sales have been soaring since 2007, and they are still increasing. Military guns and assault weapons in particular are selling like hot cakes… why do you think?
" "We sold out of small handguns yesterday," Barry adds. "Since the election, several models of guns are six months to a year back-ordered."
The models Walker is referring to – the ones that gun makers can’t make enough of – are military-style weapons. During the Clinton administration, Congress passed a ban on these so-called assault weapons, making it illegal for civilians to own them. The Bush administration allowed this ban to expire in 2004. For the past five years, assault weapons have been flooding the market.
The economy’s bad. People are losing their jobs. Most first-time gun buyers are scared. People are scared of armed robbery. That’s why they’re buying guns. That reaches deeper than the Clinton or Obama plan. That’s a social issue." "

I am almost 5’7, medium/slim build and do have some experience shooting rifles…I am not to bad a shot!
Here’s some more info-NOT looking to take out any person! I dont know a lot about guns, I have a friend who reloads his 308 cartridges, & said in general 308 ammo is cheaper, he said I could learn to reload my own as well, that is why I thought of going with a 308. I LOVE to target shoot, and am thinking about trying hunting deer this fall. I grew up shooting 22′s and recently shot some semi auto assult riffles of my Dads and fell in love with the power of them compared to the 22′s. I want to get something I can target shoot from long distances-I enjoy it, especially with my guy friends who like to assume I cant! I do like military guns and that is part of it too….I don’t know much about any of it however. I have been told by my boyfriend that I should stick to a 308, and that he prefers a bull barrel and synthetic stock. I like to figure stuff out on my own so I am checking other peoples opinions. Let me know if you need more info from me! And thanks for all your help!
Oh ya, almost forgot. I dont want to spend much more than 0-0.00 to start with. I know this may not include a scope.
Here is some more…my boyfriends brother just bought a remington 700, 308…I forget the rest, but it is a bull barrel, and he bought a scope for it, but it is HEAVY! He said it will kick a lot more than any gun I’ve shot yet (I havent shot that many really). Some of your answers have mentioned some different caliber rifles, what is the big deal between them and a 308? And no matter what gun I went with, would I have to take it to a gunsmith and have it adjusted correctly? It sounds like if I went with a remington I would not have to maybe, but if I went with a Salvage or another kind, I would be better off to do that. what do you all say?

i am not only saying that they suck but they have guns made specialy for them like the police model f57, its heavier than military guns like other cop guns. and also unlike the military police dont seem to use assault or other big guns like Mg’s and shot guns , onyl for special occasions. when i say cops i means swat, fbi, and etc.
