They say its for my potential in life , im in A.I.G & Beta Club , but i work out & play sports and i go to the shooting range and shoot my 380 bolt rifle and 22 semi auto and as good as i am , they still deny it.

Actually, don't you think airsoft is a GOOD influence? I teach elementary school, and kids are into guns now?

October 23rd, 2010 by eranio

I think they will buy guns when they grow up. Ten year old kids now can tell you all the different types of military rifles and pistols. Guns are very popular now. I would love if guns got so popular that you could get a concealed weapon permit in Los Angeles.

If I just mention hunting or guns in passing, (For example, one of our stories is called "Lil Arliss and the Bear") all the boys in the room suddenly have an ad hoc discussion about guns. Which I have to STOP or get in trouble with the principal/parents. And these are latino boys from economically depressed families. I get the Latino students because I can speak Spanish, and I get the English Language Learner Cluster. They cannot afford the best video games or toys. My room partner next door who (who HATES guns) has the gifted cluster, was complaining that all the video games make guns very glamourous to young boys. Apparently the children in the gifted cluster have every video game known to man.

Is military school or boot camp the answer for an out of control teen?

September 4th, 2010 by eranio

What are some alternatives?

By out of control I mean he smokes pot and steals the $ to get it from his parents. He tells his mother that she is a joke and threatens to hurt her. He’s failed in school 4 years in a row, but then scrapes by in summer school. He shot out all the windows of the house with a pellet gun. If he is told to do anything he tells his parents to F off. He keeps talking about how he can’t wait until he’s 16 so he can drop out of school.
They had him on a PINS petition, but that didn’t help at all. He convinced the officer that his mother was the one that was lying and everyone felt bad for him. The officer told his mother that she had no right to tell him what time to go to bed or eat dinner.
He is a MONSTER. She calls the police on him all the time, and so do other relatives. It’s strange, for some reason the cops just tell him to cut it out. And he’s on a PINS!!

PINS = Person in need of supervision. It’s a service in NY state for parents with kids like this. It’s a lot like probation. If he does anything wrong, he’s supposed to go to Juvanile Hall, but it never happens.

Should I go to military school?

July 27th, 2010 by eranio

i Like to make airguns and weapons of that sort, and as a career when i get older i would like to create guns for the military. my parents suggest i should go to a military high school. I always thought military schools were like punishment, especially becuz this kid in my school got suspended and his parents sent him to military school. So would military school actually help me in the career i want to persue?

I am not looking for a camp that for troubled kids. i have talked about this with my parents and they agree with what im thinking about doing. I live in arizona so if there is any camp close to there that would be great. If not thats cool too. thanks.
And it to be a summer camp.

I am thinking of joining the military?

June 5th, 2010 by eranio

I have always wanted to serve my country and give back for everything my family (immigrants) has been blessed with. I have a deep respect for all the men and women serving our country and the sacrifices they have made. As for me, I graduated from college about 7 months ago, and have had difficulty finding a career. I’m a 23 year old Asian male with a degree in business. I don’t have much confidence or many friends, and have been recently feeling depressed. I feel stuck at home and would love to see the world. I feel the military can help change that. But i have a few doubts and am not sure if i am qualified:
1. Parents- They have always known my interest in the military, and have always been strongly against me joining
2. I am not very athletic. I am only 5 ft 8 and pretty skinny. I’m not sure if i am physically strong enough
3. Racism- I know racism is not as bad these days, but I am worried being a small Asian kid that I might get singled out?
4. I am bipolar/manic. I’m afraid the mental stuff might really get to me.
5. No felony convictions, but I am banned from purchasing firearms in California until I am 26 years old due to previous mental hospital visits.

But overall, it would be a great honor to serve my country.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Anyone know of any good boarding or military schools that offer scholorships anywhere in the US?

February 20th, 2010 by eranio

I have a friend who has a 12 yr old son who in in 5th grade, has no respect for authority, and is failing his classes as of yesterday’s progress report. His parents nor teachers know what to do with him anymore so I’m thinking maybe he needs to be taken out of his environment where 14 are selling, drugs, toting guns & getting pregnant. Any info on a good boarding or military school would be great…Thanks

Are there any clear airsoft sniper rifles on the market?

November 22nd, 2009 by eranio

I’m not allowed to get one that isn’t clear because my parents say it looks too much like a real gun. I’ve searched around and seen, none, but are there ANY?
