Also do you think Israel could still take on the Arab nations like they did in the 6 day war in 1967? Absouluty destroying them? Or would it be a different outcome? Would Nuclear weapons play a role? What do you think the U.S, Russia, and European nations will do? How many Arab nations would it take to destroy Israel?

I’m just wondering about something. Assuming they have access to pistols, rifles, what do they need a shotgun for? How is tactically better than say M-16 or some other weapon? Do they use bullets or buckshot?
Right now I’m in Russia picking whether to just get my shotgun for hunting or also apply for a rubber bullet pistol permit. But starting this summer these pistols are treated like hunting weapons, meaning you can’t carry them loaded or use within city limits. I’m also having trouble imagining a scenario where I’d use that pistol and not get into trouble for doing it. If it comes to that I might as well use the shotgun.

india has billions of dollars military weapons deals this year alone.more than billions deal with russia alone .the total would be india spent billions on military weapons this year.while maintaining the extreme high number of army.on the other hand, even with booming economy the ordinary indian poor doesn’t even find food.indian children hover around near grabage cans looking for any left overs still the indian government has least concern for poor.some indian states have so much poor people thats its equal to euthopia.pakistan the india so called worst enemy this year deceased military budget and also reduced army number by 50,000 in step to show to india military race is not good but still india is continuing building weapons, military.warfare while its people die with hunger.my question to indians and other people too shouldn’t india follow pakistan steps that is decrease military budget and reduce army? or india should continue its military race because china is building up army while its people are starving.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7674547.stm
and shouldn’t usa and west stop selling weapons to india and tell her to improve life of poor?

First, if your just going to say "take away the 2nd amendment, its outdated" don’t bother answering this question. Like EVERYONE says, if guns were outlawed only outlaws would have guns, then how do stop a person in your home to injure your family? Ask them to stop? This isn’t Russia. What will happen if Obama is voted in (besides us all moving to Canada)? Is there a real possibly of the 2nd amendment taken away? What would happen to us all who have firearms legally now? Will the military just go door to door basically taking guns?
Yeah, im a redneck because i go to the gun range an care if my family lives or dies by some thug wanting easy money….

I was reading a statistic saying if the Americans go to war with the North Koreans they Would lose 250 000 people. Now just taking a guess you would triple it to 750 000 wounded with makes it 1 000 000 causalities. North Koreans with old iron wooded rifles with old rusty ranks and cheap uniforms with a tin helmet. How can Americans suffer this much from a bunch of Barbarians? :O Every forum I been on Americans say they can bring China, North Korea, Russia to its knees in 6 months to a year and destroy everything in their military. Its funny how they think there so good and get there ass kicked. Look at the Eastern Front in World War II. Germans were seen as the best, lots of men, best weapons, best tactics, best strategies, best modern everything, and they still lost to the Soviet Union. The Soviet army back then was in much worse shape then the Russian army is now. So what makes the Americans think they will win against Russia? Look at North Korean statistics, it will be much much worse with China or Russia.

Just curious i wont tell you who i personally believe would win, but just factor in not only man on man, but also (resources, production capacity for weapons, technology, past military achievments, the more aggresive of the two, and also size of militry) but again please dont factor nukes into the equation, i kno Russia can nuke the world 7 times over, so plz dont worry about nukes

Is the New T-60s Jet Bomber that Russia was working on, is it in Military Use right now. Did they ever showcase this Jet rather than Keep it as Classified Information?

Like Republicans are known for liking Military, why is this?
Especially in this day and age when we’re not fighting Russia or fighting on front lines anymore, but we’re fighting guerilla warfare?
im probably conservative, not liberal. lol

I may be able to buy some old Soviet armored vehicles (because I live in Russia – it’s easy), how much can I sell them, at least approximately. Naturally, before the sale, I will restore them, except for guns.

Of course it all comes down to how they invaded, and what kind of technology and tactics they use. Lets say they use a combination of ships and ground forces against us. Their ships are almost invulnerable to our weapons and can move much faster than any aircraft we have. The ground forces use some type of high-energy ionized gas or plasma weapons and force displacement weapons against us which is way ahead of any firearms we currently use. They also have the ability to bend light in a manner that makes them nearly invisible to the naked eye. But that doesn’t mean they are invincible or immortal, if they get shot or blown up they die just like anything else.
Now lets say they invade europe first and exterminate most of the population, and then begin attacking Russia, would the U.S. step in and help? lets say most of the worlds super powers had been defeated and they invaded American soil and began doing systematic attacks on each and every American city exterminating its population completely in attempt to secure recources and then strip mine our planet. What would the U.S. Military do?

PRESIDENT George W. Bush has authorised supplying Kosovo with weapons, signaling the establishment of government-to-government relations after recognising its independence, the White House said.
In a memo to the State Department made public by the White House, Mr Bush said: "I hereby find that the furnishing of defense articles and defense services to Kosovo will strengthen the security of the United States and promote world peace".
A senior official said the authorisation followed US recognition of Kosovo’s independence and was part of the normal process of establishing relations with a new government.
In a comment apparently meant to allay concerns from Serbia and its ally Russia, the official stressed the military restrictions imposed on Kosovo under a plan by former UN special envoy for Kosovo Martti Ahtisaari.

is it because they are arc-rivals/enemies or is it because they are the world military mights? otherwise why not with china?
Then why people over here refers to russian weapons as obsolete and old technology? apparently russian army is useless and the USA is not worried about them…why do many people over here like to underestimate russia? after the USA, isn’t russia the second military power?
no, i don’t understand the problem, that is why i am asking.. this site isn’t only for cold war experts.

People (even the people from the U.S.) think that Russia has a strong military. A lot of it comes down to numbers of people in my opinion and that’s why China has a good military. Russia has about 141 million people while America has about 330 million people and we have better weapons and are more technologically advanced than Russia. So why do people think Russia has a good military or fears Russia (from a non-biased standpoint)? Is it because they also have nukes?

Now they have the technology to blow us up. The US did the same with Russia during WW II.
Could it be that giving away weapons technology creates a viable adversary that the military industrial complex needs to bleed the US taxpayer, like the phony war on terrorism they’re using now?

Frankly I am not sure if this is true or not. I just think its an excuse used by the democrats to enact more gun control. Why? Well saying America is the only place to get weapons is down right arrogant. If that is true, where are all these fire arms in Iraq coming from used to shoot US military personnel? Afghanistan? Hopefully not the US, that just be twisted. There been reports Mexican army personnel with their issues weapons are attacking border agents. Hell a Colombian cartel once attempted to buy a cold war era nuclear submarine from Russia. Is there american gun dealers getting in on this submarine action too? Silly statement but its using the same logic. So conclusion? That America is not the only place to buy guns and weapons. So if the idea that maybe, JUST MAYBE these cartels are getting weapons from more then one country, then banning weapons in the US probably will not disarm the cartels one bit. So how we going to disarm them?
Ineffective and costly. What would happen to the cartels ability to arm them selfs if they suddenly did not have the money to buy them???

Is there a Assault Rifle planned to replace the AK-74 in Russia?
I heard that the AN-94 was designed to, but it is too complicated to make for widescale use and is restricted for Special Forces use. I think it would probably be the Ak-107/104, but Im not sure.
Can someone help?

I love both Russia & USA military. Recently I hv been making a research on the net about this and it seems Russians keeping inventing more and more top of the range missiles like the TOPOL M – SS27. By the way they also developed the deadly TSAR BOMBA that was more powerful than the atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima and that has been dubbed "THE KING OF ALL BOMBS". However I’m not really conviced that Russia is best I just need somebody to help me. If it is then ………

This is something I started to notice recently, how certain countries parade around and show off their military weapons as if they were the focal point of their national pride.
Examples include Russia, North Korea, China, Iran, where they have these massive parades with soldiers in uniform marching along side tanks, and missiles, and some kind of weaponry. Most of these countries also tend to do something similar to a "goose-walk".
The only thing I could think of that is like that in the U.S. would be the Blue Angels that fly at Miramar, but that’s more of a local thing than a national thing, and it’s also more of a sporting event than a nationalism thing (you have to pay to attend). Even so, the jets aren’t armed with missiles or doing dog fights….
