I love my rifle, (one the best military rifles for accuracy and you can scope it)….Anyway, Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket stock, or another 6 round magazine, or better yet, an extended magazine for it? oh, is there any ammo I can use in place of the the swiss 7.62×55. (something that is cheaper?)
Thanx!

i saw a video of a marine on the news
he had an M249 with an ACOG 4x scope
my question is, how do you get optics in the marines/military?
do you have to qualify for the optic? or can you just take it from an armory(or wherever u get the optic from)
also leading to another question
when a soldier is deployed..how does he get optics for his rifle?(red dot, laser sights all that good stuff, etc)
can he just take it?
btw guys, i really mean he had an M249..not an M16, i made no mistake..he had an M249 SAW with an ACOG sight and a vertical grip

I tried to attach every single available scope to my AWP but they all said "you cannot attach this item." Why?

I’m trying to zero the scope on my airsoft sniper rifle. Most of the BB’s I shoot are going to the right of and higher than where im aiming, the trouble is, my scope is set as far as it will go down and to the left. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am interested in getting a rifle, more for long range target shooting than hunting. I’m thinking .308 or .338 Lapua. Any comments on Caliber and/or grain would be most welcome.
I have shot plenty before, but haven’t done much long range shooting with a scope. My question is, if I get a rifle like a Remington 700, or a Ruger M77 Hawkeye, should I be able to hit targets beyond 1,000 yds? I believe that it’s the shooter not the gun that makes the difference.
Any advice on ammo, optics, technique, or rifles is welcome!
Thanks!

Okay i have done my research. Between The Mauser Type 96 and the UTG variant. PLEASE DO NOT answer if you don’t own the Mauser. If you have looked around, it is a little bit more expensive. It comes WITH the scope so its saving you about forty extra dollars and it takes the Mauzer upgrades as well as the UTG model. People seem to recommend the gun they have without even using the other one with numerous reviews i see. The Mauser version is in fact more accurate at farther ranges. Who i want to answer is the ones who actually use/own both rifles.

I am a novice hunter and I will start deer hunting right before the peak of the rut in my area. I have already overspent on my rifle and scope and now I am trying to skimp in other areas. I was wondering if it’s okay to hunt in military type camo? The camo is insulated but I don’t know if it has the waterproofing of some of the Mossy Oak stuff out there on the market. I will be hunting out of a blind.
I thought that the orange vest was understood.

I mean, how do they align the scope and the barrel so well? They somehow do this at least within a tenth of one degree.

I’m going to get an L96 Airsoft sniper rifle, and my friend said that getting a 3-9×40 scope would be best. Im new to airsoft so i dont really know what would be a good scope. The airsoft matches are a relatively medium sized area in the woods. Probably 1-1/2 acres.

not be as good?
The newsmen are saying that the Marines prefer these scopes on their rifles. That the company that produces them is the best. Wonder why?
I am talking about the current news where atheists are in an uproar because for years this Christian owner has been putting Bible verses on rifle scopes used by the US military.
Joy of Jesus: I love your answer already.
If the Koran or Origin of Species was on this scope it would not be worth buying and would never have a huge US military contract. Honoring the Lord will always have its rewards.
Yes, they are reporting that the marines prefer these sights. Maybe the Bible verse will keep you from being captured.
The Word of God is powerful, my friend.
Evidently, the multi-billion dollar company knows that the Word of God is powerful. If I were a soldier, I would want God’s help above any other help. God is the only protection that any man ever has.
I have a friend who was a retired General but in WWII he would tell you that he stayed in prayer with the Lord’s name constantly on his mind, because that was his shield against the enemy to bring him through the war. He carried Scripture verses on him.
The military continues to do business with this company because they make the best sights in the industry. God has blessed this company.
The best sights in the industry and you want this industry torn down because of a small Bible verse. I believe the soldier will tell you to give him the best sight for his rifle. Give him whatever he needs to keep him alive.

I was going to invest in a new .308 Winchester rifle and have ,000 to spend (not including scope, bipod, etc.). I have heard good and bad about the Remington 700 and want some suggestions. I was particularly interested in a rifle that the military uses, but will settle for something else. Thanks.

Some snipers or soldiers have a gun with a scope or red dot. They have some kind of riser or something like that which they can adjust the scope to fit their eye, like move the scope around without taking the scope off. Its kind of like a weaver thing.
What’s it called and where can I get one?
Yeah kinda like what the first two answers said.
Also is there any weaver that makes you be able to move the scope over? Like some kind of weaver that runs on wheels that you can turn to the side? Thanks!

Hey guys I’m kind of in a little debate on which sniper I should get. A few days ago I was really interested in the Matrix TSD M700 but now I’m leaning more toward the JG BAR 10 from Evike with the scope and bipod package.
I like the BAR 10 because I like that it’s a TM clone, easily upgradable, and like the air brake mod that costs nothing (unless I screw it up that is..lol). I would also like to know if I can take the front sight off of the BAR and how to. So is the BAR 10 a good gun?
And what type of bb’s should I get Matrix or airsoft elite. And .25s or .28s?
Which one of the 2 would you pick?
So please answer thouroughly with good detail.
Thanxs.

I knew I’d get more (not to mention alot better) answers if I put this in the Hunting category. Thanks everyone! And yes, I know that’s not where this question belongs, but your answers helped, thanks!
